I am very interested in getting some roofs from him if they were made in the correct increments.

FYI guys, the roof for the "Butter Market" is a perfect fit for four curved walls set up as a circle. So, perfect tower topper!

I'd be interested in several of the roofs as well...

So I let Martyn know that there are at least five of us interested in single roof pieces. He got back to me and told me he is making molds for two sizes to start. He said it will take a few weeks to have finished examples. I suggested he join the forum to introduce himself and explain how to contact him to pursue an order (i.e. eBay or directly via email). If he doesn't post here I will follow-up and find out when he has prototypes to show what the finished roofs will look like. I don't know what he is thinking as far as prices, but his complete buildings are really very reasonable (I got the 7 building set and two sets of barricades for about $115 -- the shipping however is expensive to the US and basically doubles that price for final cost).

Personally I am very excited about this as it adds a lot of value to the DF I already own, especially for outdoor/town encounters. My kids have been having a lot of fun exploring the village, talking to townspeople, getting into fights with drunken pirates, chasing a runaway Dewback through the village streets (for a handsome reward of course), etc., etc.

I just wanted to add that I did get my order today, and everything is just wonderful. The seller is also a delight to deal with, he is very easy to communicate with. I told him how much we all appreciate his help with the roofs, and he seems eager to make them. Great guy!

I got mine too, looks good. They are not as big as I thought they would be, I don't think they are 25mm scale.

More like 20mm - if there is such a thing

Do you have any MBA to compare them to size wise? A side by side photo would be awesome.

I think they are a little smaller scale, but I don't have any MBA to compare. Although these buildings do have interiors they're not really big enough to have a tactical encounter, but they are big enough to put a few minis and some furniture inside. I've used them for roleplaying encounters with merchants, etc. -- DF is much more appropriate for barfights, thievery, exploring, etc. The eBay buildings however are excellent as terrain themselves -- outdoor encounters and battles in the streets around and between the buildings for instance.

I grabbed a couple buildings that were in easy reach. Personally, I think PMC's stuff is spot-on. In the first picture (from left to right) a PMC building, an MBA cottage, and a prepainted building of the same scale by Crystal Caste. A few 25mm miniatures for scale purposes...

Also while I have my camera out, I took some shots focusing on other neat features of the PMC buildings. The first picture is the first and second levels of a PMC building showing that each of them has detail on the floors! Now, not every PMC building has this, but I think it is pretty neat. The second picture is of a couple 25mm miniatures on the second floor of the PMC building. The third picture is a couple 25mm miniatures in the MBA cottage (no floor detailing). The fourth picture is a couple of 25mm miniatures (one significantly larger than the other) on the ground floor of the Crystal Caste building (no floor detailing or even a floor for the second level, but the doors do open). Possibly one of the greatest things about the PMC buildings, as we've all realized is how he does the roofs. The fifth picture shows why this is also such a huge benefit (besides using the roofs for DF) because this essentially makes the buildings and their floors modular, as I have replaced the top floor of the PMC building I've showed in my pictures with the second floor of a different PMC building. The way Crystal Caste and MBA do their roofs, you just cannot stack the floors differently.

@LegoRick -- Thanks for the pictures! I've never owned any MBA so it's very helpful to see them compared side by side. Given the price and comparable quality, PMC's buildings are a great buy in my opinion.

@clandestine4000 -- PMC buildings do seem a slightly smaller scale when compared to DF. It'll be a nice to have the option to buy separate roofs that are scaled for DF when he has them available since his current roofs are just a little short/narrow to fit on DF set-ups.

Thanks, I was on the fence about these since I didn't know how they would look with my MBA, but now I want some for sure.
