Here ya go ! you could always pay a few bucks extra and get treated wood for the extra shelves. But I dont mind till i get around to making a huge gameing den. ATM im just happy with my hard wood 11 foot table. This turned out to be a realy cheep solution for us. Also the extra pegging I was refering to is for the shelves themselves. Sorry for the picture quality I shot these from my I pad.

Most my colection is off my shelves atm as im preping for the upcoming local convention that asked me to set up a Dwarven forge Dungon craw. Ill post the pics when im finished ! man my suff is a mess lol

Really, you can't do better than this:

www.geekchichq.com/furniture/sultan/

I've seen it in person at Gen Con and it is all that and a bag of biscuits!

ps - the height is perfect so you can put DF layouts underneath ad still put the *top* back on over it!!!

Oh Harneloot! I just got off an hour-and-a-half phone call with Geek Chic! My wife isn't too pleased with my wishes to have one of these tables in a Medieval style. Boy, I sure want one of their tables. Conceptually it's an excellent table for role-playing with DF! They are looking into building me a 4x7.5 Medieval style Emissary table, which can have 3 player drawers down the sides and it seats 8. They are REAL proud ($) of their tables. They have to be able to build matching Medieval chairs too. Of course, I will have to buy the chairs the next year as I can't afford both at once or most likely the table now either!

Here's the cool thing for those of you that are wanting a table from Geek Chic. They already have a Medieval theme table in the works! You could be the first person to own one if you put in your deposit soon!

They really are that nice - seriously well made. Too bad you are all the way down in Florida or I'd ask for a seat in your next game - sure to blow people away once you get that whole room finished! Make sure you document the process and post the pictures so we can all drool with jealousy!

Yea I want to see the 11' table. I bet it's awesome!

This looks like a solution for my closets. I just need to stack the shelves side by side. Maybe I can stack three of them in my 2X6x8 closets?

Harneloot,
I already heard back from my Geek Chick representative. Man, they don't waste time getting your questions answered! They CAN make a medieval style table. They suggested wire brush scrubbing (whatever this means?) the wood to give it a distressed look. They don't know about the chairs. I will give Geek Chick credit though when Brenda (the representative) said that it's very important to have really comfortable chairs. They are trying to give their standard chair (which they wear is a really comfortable chair) a medieval look while maintaining the ergonomic design. I would like to have the "cadillac" of tables but it sure is a lot of "moola." I can wish though.

BTW. Anyone that wants to come down for a weekend and game is very welcome. Heck, I don't know how to DM (I've never done it), so who knows I may be paying you a consultant fee to show me what to do with DF and DMing! LOL

Well since there are a few eyes that might show up at the Con ill post an older pic I just recalled I have laying around.. I dont want to let slip what the players have in store for them with whats on the table now.. so here ya go.

Sorry about that aparently the pics didnt load the first time.. so there it is my 11 foot Game Table with battlematt "tablecloth" the last shot is just to give more of a sense of scale to how much Dwarven forge I had on the table in the pics.

in my opinion, if you have really a lot of stuff, as DM-Ghost I think that the best solution it's a cabinet with extra shelves.

I use Ikea, "Besta (see the link)" cabinet system, with extra shelves and closing doors.
you can compose a cabinet to the ceiling.
if you calculate the storage volume you will see that the the Sterilite 7 drawer it's not more cheap...and it's less robust, and it's less elegant...
you can't have a full wall of plastic drawer cart inside a living room

I assure you that when the doors are closed, the mobile has a decent aspect that can be accepted even by a woman.

for the table I use this table, that is extensible up to 3meters ( around 10ft).
that is good also to eat with a lot of friends or other use.

to be honest I'm not a fan of the Sultan..
ok it's very nice, but with a crazy cost...I don't see any reason to spend thousands of dollars in that direction...
unless you have an unlimited budget (you're a millionaire) I find it really a waste of money.
for the game itself, I think is really more important to invest, in the above cabinets or other efficient way to store (and pick up quickly during the game).
or invest in game stuff of course..

for the miniature I use this solution

Endar I love the cabinet idea ! Im going to have to upgrade ! I have that bookshelf right by where me and one of my other DM's sit when we game so at any time we can just reach up and snag some DF if we want it for something. but I think the cabnit would give it a better overall look. I as well have most of my minis boxed. but I have a fair amount on shelves and i seem to be growing more shelves because I love having figures on display.
As to the sultan .. I payed 700 bucks for my table so I got it on the cheep by comparison to the sultan heck I think the sultan costs as much as my 07 mazda... just to make a point of how much your going to be paying.. my mazad was 16 grand after all the perks... the sultan runs 12-15 grand... NOpe not for me.

I hadn't heard of Geek Chic about 3 years ago but if I had I would of rather bought one than the 8' x 4' pool/dining table I got instead (it cost about the same as a Sultan). It does have a nice big gaming area on it though for all types of games, and I think my wife prefers it than if we had a Sultan.

@Harneloot Thats a seriously useful gaming table. Thanks for the pic! What are those two dragons on the table. I'm really curious! I'm thinking you may need to mail then to me, so I can take a closer look! :P

@Endar thank you for the excellent ideas. I'm thinking this is the way I will go with storing my DDM and my painted minis. I'm finishing up a deal today with Bill Webb (see other post in this forum) to get a huge lot of DDM and painted minis.

BTW, what's a good price for DDM. I'm not sure I can afford it but lets say 1,000 DDM that has 50 dragons, 200 rares, 300 uncommons and 550 commons. He has several smaller rare dragons and many more rares and uncommons. He doesn't have the colossal red dragon.I saw the prices on Ebay but there wasn't a completed sale that had this kind of mix with dragons, rares, uncommon , and commons. I see where lot are going for $1-$1.30 a piece, but the lot I'm talking about is different.

This is a private sale not an auction.

All depends on what rares are included. This site can be useful for just checking out the rares:

send me the link to the auction an I can eyeball it for ya.
