I took a closer look and for $3.99 you get *1* medium or *2* smalls; $5.99 gets you *1* large. It seems a little pricey, but I guess its on par with what DDM did- packs of 5 or 6 minis for $15-20, depending upon which set we're talking about.

Who do you know that would be willing to paint some metal figs that's really talented? I bought a lot of 220 25mm for $100. unfortunately this was before Blowizards advice!

Google miniature painting service and you should find a few. But don't sell yourself short. I bet you could paint some yourself, you obviously have enough for practice. Get a Citadel or Reaper or Vallejo beginner set. Reaper even makes kits like How to paint Fur that include paint and instructions along with a mini. You may not win painting awards but I am sure you could turn out minis good enough to game with. And let's face it, some of the paint jobs on the DDM minis are absolutely awful. Also, if you don't like the paint job you do, just strip it off. An overnight soak in a cup of pinesol will take the paint right off and not harm your figure at all.
