@Ebonsword- there is the Heroes set of 4 minis, originally mentioned above. Just a set of 4, non-randomized. In addition to that, they are releasing a randomized set of monsters- 40 in the set. $3.99 gets you either 2 small minis or 1 medium. $5.99 gets you one large mini. Buy a full case (around $275) and you will be *likely* to get the full set.

I have a guy that wants to sell me about 200 25 mm unpainted metal figs for $100.I would of already taken this deal but I've never painted a fig and don't have an interest in painting. I like painted figs and they seem nicer than the DDM's if their painted well. Any advice guys and girls?

Dillman, you could always buy the 200 metal minis, pick the ones you really like and will eventually paint, and resell the rest on ebay. You could even make a bit of a profit if the selection is good enough. Then you can use that money to buy plastics or hire someone to do your painting for you!

Let us know what you get. FYI, Reaper minis fetch good prices. Some of the old Grenadier and Ral Partha are hard to find and can also get you good $. I bought a lot of old metals as a lot a few years ago and have seen some offered on ebay individually that were much more than I paid. After you get them, browse ebay and I bet that will be the same for you.

Yeah, the problem is, I don't necessarily want the "full set".

What I would want is 30 orcs, 12 storm giants, 1 lich, 0 flumphs, etc.

Now, they keep talking about how they're going to be selling singles on their website--I guess I'll keep an eye on how that turns out.

Despite all of their justifications for why they had to do it this way, it seems like they sought no customer input before deciding how they were going to be packaging these things. Which is pretty stupid in the age of the Internet, especially for a company which differentiated itself from the competition (i.e. WOTC) by listening to its customers.

Looks like this site sells DDM individually, with all WOTC releases represented.

danddminis.com/index.php?route=product/category

I have never purchased from them but it looks good! Ebonsword can perhaps, get his 30 orcs etc here.

Arcarius,
I appreciate your help and will send some pics of the minis. I won't know what I have so the pics would probably be best. I appreciate your help.

Oh, I already have plenty of D&D minis. That's not really the point.
