Woo-hoo!

Hope the line does well enough that they make some monsters down the road. Also hope that picture is a production model and not a paint-master!

I saw the miniture and the paint job on the image looks like a suprior product then the D&D minis that came before them. I wonder if this will be a limited run and if they will learn from the mistakes of DDM line. One can only hope.. now question is .. are these 28MM minis or Mage Knight Hero clicks scale ? that might be a small issue with bases with DF.

They are 25mm scale as far as I have read. Slightly off topic, I have had success at rebasing old Mageknight minis to 25mm. All you need is a hot knife which any craft store sells, some glue, and new bases. Cheap minis, especially if you buy eBay lots.

I as well have had some luck with rebasing mage knight minis and with a few touch up paints they make good figures as well.

Q: Will this set be part of Paizo's Pathfinder Roleplaying Game subscription?
A: This set is produced by WizKids under license from Paizo, and is not part of any Paizo subscription.

Q: How does this affect the Pathfinder Miniatures line from Reaper Miniatures?
A: Reaper Miniatures has been producing unpainted metal Pathfinder Miniatures since Fall 2009, and they will continue to do so.

Q: Do these miniatures use Reaper's sculpts?
A: These miniatures use all-new sculpts by WizKids.

A little confused "I saw the miniture and the paint job on the image looks"
Have you seen the mini first hand or just the pictures?
I think these are CGI renders and not even master paints, the base sure looks like it...

I'm not knocking these and interested in a few but I just don't think there are minis in hand yet.

The quality of these sculpts are so much better then the D&D minis that were mass produced. We can only hope that this set flys off the shelves so they are encouraged to continue expanding this line of figures.

The concept of this whole thing is exciting. I really do hope they expand into more 'generic' figures.

Based on the info I've seen (clicky!), these are going to be randomized just like the old D&D miniatures line.

Does anyone else think that's pretty stupid? Wasn't that one of the major complaints about the D&D line?

What's weird, though, is that there seems to be no talk of Common, Uncommon, and Rare figures. So, if they're not treating it like a collectible game, why the randomization?

Okay, so a little more research indicates that these will be randomized.

From the Paizo website: "There are different commonalities. We have worked with WizKids to assign them, and you'll find that the commons will be the figures most people will want multiples of: goblins, city watch, and the like. Figures that are less commonly encountered (but often appear in groups) will be uncommon. Named characters and unusual creatures will be rare."

So, they are going the collectible miniatures game route.
For a set of miniatures designed to support an RPG.
Where having a "Rare" miniature provides absolutely no ingame advantage.

[sarcasm]Way to go guys![/sarcasm]

I really don't know why Dwarven Forge's miniature line never seemed to catch on. Their quality was excellent and their packing was way more customer friendly.

If the actual mini paintjob is anything like those computer renders I shall be buying a few packs, I shall have to wait and see before ordering any.
