PineSol is my solvent of choice. Put some in an old jar, drop in the mini, and let it sit overnight. Hit it with an old toothbrush under warm running water and that should work well.

PineSol it is. Its knowledge passed down from the various miniature sites and lead collectors like myself...I let mine sit for 48 hours, then use a denture brush, or a firm toothbrush. I've heard the fumes are toxic so let the miniatures soak in the garage or the shed etc...

Super Clean. I've used Pinesol, carburator cleaner(on metal), and Simply Green. Super Clean beats them all. Don't dilute it, let it sit overnight(safe for plastic/metal/resin), and reuse it until its more paint than chemical. Oh and don't dip your hands directly into the stuff. Mine peeled for a week after doing that.

Yeah, for metal minis I do a week of pinesol then toothbrush. I cleaned minis I painted in 1982 and it all fell off.
