D&D minis Savage Encounters? 4 Years, 12 Months ago
Well about two weeks ago I received my two cases of Savage encounters D&D minis. I have to say this set is really nice. I really like most of the sculpts. Only one comes to mind that was lame in both paint and sculpt and that is the behemoth (or dino as most people call it) Luckily, I only got one.

However the Angel in this set is really nice to behold. I am also just crazy about Adult Gray Dragon and cannot wait to use it. The Rockfire Dreadnought is really cool too it's also a visible. The fallen villager is a useful mini too. Having more Driders, another Purple (deep) Dragon, and finally having the Arch-Devil Graz'zt! Anyways some really nice minis in this set.

Anyone else bought this set and liked or didn't like what they got?

I just bought my first couple of boosters today and I got the dino as well:( Everything else is pretty cool. I really like the man eating plant thing.

I preordered mine from Auggies so I could cherry pick exactly which figures I wanted. The
sorrowsworn reaper, tiefling necromancer and angel of valour are my favorites.

There are some crap figures in there too but about half of the set is pretty good.

Two cases netted me one of every rare, two of every uncommon and 4 of every common.

All in all a very nice set.

I have mentioned before on this board that in the past I have been notorious for buying myself stuff around Christmas that my family or friends were planning on getting me, so my hands are tied on this set for now. I don't even have the "we're playing next week and they just came out with a perfect mini for what I was planning" excuse. I'll admit I'm jealous of those of you who bought them by the caseload, but I'm glad to hear the reviews thus far are pretty positive.

Make something idiot-proof and someone will just turn around and make a better idiot.
