I am a huge fan of all the Dwarven Forge products. And I can't think of another line of terrain that I have gotten as much use and enjoyment out of. But my time is really not my own anymore so I decided to sell ALL of my MasterMaze. I posted 7 sets so you have an chance to get a great deal. A couple of my kits are no longer produced so you might have a chance to pick up some older sets. All of the listing show which pieces come in the kit and for the most part the kits are complete.

***UPDATE****

3 Sets have already sold and I shipped them out this afternoon. Looking to get rid of all of it quickly.

DON'T MISS OUT ON A GREAT DEAL

As I've voiced before, I think its bad form to post on this forum that someone is selling sets DF currently has in stock.

I bought only out of print DOE pieces from you. And once a bunch of empty boxes I think.

So Sean, you think its perfectly ok to use these forums as a place to sell your old DF stuff even when Jeff & Stefan have those sets in stock in the DF store? Isn't that in effect asking people to purchase form you instead of DF which would be lowering DF's sales?

By all means, sell your sets on e-bay if you want. I did when I switched over to the bow-tieless ones. But advertising the sale of currently in-stock sets here on these forums I find to be discourteous.

I think if it brings people into the hobby then it ain't such a crime - besides everyone loves a bargain!!

I can only speak for myself, but once you start with DF it's difficult to stop :), so I'm sure it will only lead to more sales in the long run.

Nope I don't think there is anything wrong with posting that I am selling my Mastermaze stuff here. I am a huge advocate of DF products and have gotten friends to buy sets in the past. I know this is a forum that appreciates the product and I would like the items to go to someone that will enjoy them. Not to someone that is just going to shelve them in a closet for years like I have. I checked the forum rules before I posted and there was nothing against advertising ebay listings on the terms of use. It's not like I have made a knock off product like MM and am trying to sell it here. These are real MM sets and are a great way to get into the hobby. Beside I paid Jeff & Stefan when I bought them in the first place so it's not like they didn't get money for them in the first place. And I don't have any reservations in letting folks know that they can get into this great hobby and save some cash too! So anyway..discourteous or not, keep posting to this thread Harneloot it will keep it fresh..and let more people see my "discourteous ad" And to show just how "discourteous" I am..here's the links to the ads!

Yes they are older sets WITH the bowtie connectors...so technically they aren't something DF even carries anymore.

The other thing to remember is that some people haven't heard of Dwarven Forge, and wouldn't necessarily find the site by themselves. They might, however, search for fantasy or sci-fi terrain on eBay, and if that's how they find the stuff, then maybe they'll get into it and eventually buy things direct. I mean, none of us are going into business for ourselves, putting ourselves in direct competition with DF on a long-term basis.

Of course, the original objection was to announcing HERE that the sale is going on -- in effect, coming to the webstore forum and telling people stuff is for sale elsewhere. That could be seen as a bit tacky. I've listed a few DF pieces on eBay before, and I haven't announced it here, partly for that reason. Ebay is for a customer base that doesn't already regularly shop at DF.

But that's just my opinion. The only one that matters is what Jeff & Stefan think, and if they want to allow it, that's how it is. And if they want to ban it, they can go ahead and do so, and I'm sure nobody would object.

It's part of building a community, surely? In any case, a healthy resale market for the product means a healthy market for the new product, ideally; I can buy the stuff knowing that it's going to retain a fair amount of its value. Allowing it to be posted here is a service they provide to their fans.

Myself, I'm buying directly from DF. But in any case, as L says, it's up to Jeff and Stefan, who are presumably paying for the cost of running the site and are in any case in charge of it. If they feel that it's hurting their business, or otherwise out of order, they can tell us.

In the case of me originally eBay and Gencon is how I first saw the DF stuff. SO I got into first by seeing it at Gencon. Then saw it at ebay and purchased some off of ebay.

THEN the next Gencon I attended purchased a good amount direct from them. Of course it was all display sets but I paid full amount for them. Stefan said he never did that before. Now I notice it is a pretty regular occurrence.

My point is that my first set was from eBay and then it brought me over here and since....purchased a ton of it. Mostly direct since that is the spot where I can make sure to get the bow-tieless sets now.

I even think in another good reason to let people anounce the sets: when you are in europe and buy from another european guy taken rid off the sets that has bought from DF, the new buyer doesn't pay for taxes and the shipping is cheaper.

We always know that when you have a few sets and have seen them in person you cannot stop buying even if it means to pay taxes and usa shipping :-) -sigh- this is a hard hard drug... ;-)
