1:72
1" to 72"
1" to 6'

2.54 cm to 1"
25.4 mm to 1"

25mm ~ 6'

25mm = 1:72 scale
QED

Think there might be a typo some where in there.

25mm if you meant 25 cm that still does not equal 6 feet. or even roughly six feet.

25.4mm X 12 = 304.8 mm = 1 foot
304.8mm X 6 = 1,828.8mm = 6 foot

As to some of the measurements of the pieces at Aurora they would work well with DF.
The bed size is 38:22:24mm

So in inches that is 1.496 : 0.866 : 0.945 inches. I think that is pretty comparable to the DF bed.

Bookcase 33:11:42mm

So in inches 1.299 : 0.433 : 1.65 inches. These bookcases might even be better than the one I got form Germany.

My own opinion and experience is even though something says it is one scale as opposed to another I like to use the actual measurements which produces a better result. We all know about different scales in miniature even though they say they are the same....

I believe he means 25mm is approximately 6 scale feet. I actually thought it was supposed to be closer to 5.

Is it me or does anybody recognize some of these pieces as Fenryll pieces, Aintsy pieces, and old Ral Partha pieces?

I have an iron maiden that I would swear is identical to that one, made of lead and produced by RP from over a decade ago.

The food items--particularly the bail tied up with two ropes--is Aintsy out of England. I have the exact piece.

The bookshelves and bed look very similar to Fenryll pieces.

Recasts or just very, very close replicas?

I can't speak to the decade-old Ral Partha iron maiden. (Iron Maiden! Air guitar!)

How different are bales tied with rope going to be? Or a tied sack, or an open sack with apples, or barrels, etc.?

Fenryll's "Wizard House Accessories" and "Medieval Bedroom Accessories" both have beds, but neither matches either of the Aurora pieces. The Fenryll wizard bed looks like a mattress on a board, and has no headboard. The Fenryll medieval bed is similar, but has a headboard with a different shape than the two Aurora beds (and has a man sleeping on his back with the sheet bunched up across his hips). The Aurora beds seem to feature a mattress slotted into (or a sheet on top of) a heavy frame, and have a little carving on the headboard.

Fenryll's "Wizard House Library" shelves have vertical partitions and more bric-a-brac, and lack the drawers of the Aurora shelves.

jackattack--thanks for the clarification. I've seen pictures of some of the painted Fenryll pieces here on the DF site which really just jumped out in my mind when I was looking at these Aurora pieces, that's how familiar they seemed to me.

Nice pieces still. Making me get the painting itch again! ;-}~
