btw, Thank you so much my FRIENDS for your loyalty...I actually got watered up a bit. Like Jeff said, we just have to outdo everyone else if we want to stay afloat.....
Keep doing what you do, as well as you do, and you will.

Now wipe your eyes; blow your nose - no, NOT on your sleeve! Yuck! Mari, smack him.

And BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD!

PLEEZE???

Seems "Great Victory Widgets" know how to piss-off fans of other well made gaming products besides DF.

See this thread in ENWorld:

www.enworld.org/forum/publishers-press-releases/253645-tact-tiles-back.html

And this one towards the bottom:

okayyourturn.yuku.com/topic/16718?page=2

If you go to their company web-site, they do a side by side comparison of how their product is better than DF. They have another page where they tell all the DF fanatics to "give them the benefit of the doubt before sharpening your pitchfork" and another where they show DF melting from fire (red dragon breath) while their tiles do not.

They also claim DF products are flammable, implying they are dangerous.

Furthermore, they claim to have trademarked the term "Dwarven Stone", something I would hope that DF would challenge.

I "really liked" the part of:

"This is absolutely correct. These people do not own the Tact-Tiles name and are not producing Tact-Tiles. I am a co-owner of the company who now owns Tact-Tiles (Imagineering Inc.).

Folks, I can assure you, these people are not legit, and we will be contacting them ASAP.

EDIT: In fact, you can follow the progress of the real Tact-Tiles in this thread: Tact-Tiles: The Return"

Swearing omitted by author.

Are these guys serious? In what universe has anyone set their terrain pieces ON FIRE?!?!?! Their disclaimer is downright insulting, considering how blatant they have been in trying to cast DF as an inferior product. And now they have actually tried to usurp another company's product wholesale!

They are also marketing a line under the banner of "The Prancing Pony Ale House" -- not only are the floor pieces a roughened rip-off of the MBS floors (which I hope is actionable), but the Tolkien people would probably be very interested in the unauthorized use of their intellectual property.

Actually - the setting on fire was the only bit I found hilarious on their website. Come on - who would buy their stuff just because DF isn't fire resistant?

But everything else looks bad. Feedback score on E-Bay (last time I checked) was positive 3. Hey - my son got the same feedback score (included in ours) - and he got that while still 7 years old. Yep - he only did three pieces - but all garnered feedback. So business can't be that great.

That they might be fraudulent ... that would really be sad.

Certainly a seller to stay clear off.

Actually it gets weirder - there are at least two different sellers on E-Bay selling these. One with feedback of three - started in February and seems no longer active - anotherone started a month later ... still selling stuff including a battle map and !! some original Dwarvenforge Orks (well - lots of game stores still have a few)

But seems odd ...

The fire thing is meaningless without knowing what they did to burn the pieces. Did they drop matches on them, did they douse them in kerosene, did they put them in the oven, what? If a product will burst into flames if you drop a lit cigarette on it then yes there is a problem, but if it takes thermite to ignite the product then it is for all intents and purposes fire safe.

Given their general sleaze level, I wouldn't put it past them to have used different fire-setting techniques on DF than they did their own.

Didn't you read - it was dragon fire !! A simple match wouldn't set DF alight - you truly need some dragon fire to do that :) So no issues with day to day use of Master Maze - unless you have a pet dragon at home who is cappable to breath real fire. In this case - DF might not be the right product for you. (sorry - shouldn't stoke the flames - but it's too ridiciolous so I can't resists to make fun of it).

Hmm...

Their main page has gone blank, and the sub-page on Google can't be found (Error 404).

It would appear that this business concern has gone under.

They still have two auctions going on e-bay, though they are both done in under 24h
