I bought one today at my FLGS. I plan to use it with ROTA.

Nice! I love finding accessories like this. Who made this? Is it Rackham or Fenryll? Or someone else?

Very nice....

I don't imagine it comes pre-painted does it?

It does come prepainted. It was made by galeforce, it seems and is not made anymore.

If you search for "Proctectorate of Menoth Altar of Flame" you can find a few here and there for sale.

You know... I'm sorry, I know I'm going to piss somebody off, but, it looks like an evil wedding cake.

I saw this thing up close at GenCon this year and it looked pretty tacky. I actually walked up to the table and said, "Cool cake--who made..." then stopped short after noticing the looks I was getting. Only after closer inspection did I realize it was an actual terrain piece. Still, I had to chuckle when I walked away.

I think that there are probably tons of other scenery bits out there that would do the RotA set much more justice.

to each his own. I personally think it's cool - has a warhammerish look to it.

I think it would look better (and more appropriate to a ROTA setting) with an ink wash of varying browns to "ancient" it up a bit. It's too pristine as it is.

I can even see snapping the central Menoth Icon off and using any statue / miniature piece in it's place.

Definitely a cool design, but the center piece seems a little out of place.

That's not a bad idea, especially since it's removable. Finding a statue would work well.

I didn't have a need for it, either, but they don't make it anymore.
