My repainted Roper, I'm very happy with it. I actually really prefer it to the original -- the original's tentacles are so thin and flat, they're like floppy pasta. Blah.

I want to cut the firebat off its base and use it as a magical effect -- glue it to a Reaper figure as if someone is shooting a firebat out at something. But I can't decide on the figure....

My repainted chain golem isn't quite working. Sometimes my inkwashes look amazing to me, and sometimes they're flat. This time, the rust effect I wanted just didn't happen. He looks like he's made of bronze chains, rather than really rusty metal. Have to take another pass at him.

After much deliberation, I've decided to repaint the umber hulk in traditional colors. I do kinda dig the silvery blue, but ultimately, I realized, even if I added some variety to him but kept the basic color scheme, I'd just never find a use for a huge blue umber hulk. It's not something I see on display. But in traditional colors, I do like the idea of a massive umber hulk attacking in a cavern somewhere. That feels like it will get use.... so it's gonna happen.

Repainting the carrion crawler, meanwhile, is helping -- but I'd need a lot more skill to make this work. A shame, really, since a huge CC is a great idea. It could have been up there with the purple worm as one of the cooler things the line produced.

At some point I want to put a list together of figures that are good in themselves, but rendered nearly pointless because of the size chosen. The should-have-been-small hellwasp comes to mind, as does the should-have-been-large shadow hulk, but there are others. I'm sure for many giants, a lot of people would have preferred Huge to Large, and the same for dragons -- but for me, it's frequently the other way around. The huge troll is nice enough, sure -- but I feel like he'd be a lot cooler, and more useful, as a large. Same thing for some of the demons -- huges should be larges, larges should be mediums. And so on...

ok, lastly camoudragon and i managed to get out case.

So for me it went ok with the following:
Huge White, Shadowhulk (cool i wanted these rares)
Guulvorg, Carrion Crawler, Earth Titan and Treat (we both hate this goofy treat)
The reares were dived in 3 wanted and 3 not wanted, so ok for this.
The UC were 18 diffrent in my case...

but now camoudragon:
Huge White, Huge Red (you know he bought one booster before with a red one in it)
the same UC for him (including this goofy treant, did i mention that we both hate it ?)
From the rares he got 4 good one (Adamatine dragon, Icedevil included)
Only the UC were one double in his case.

So i any of you wants a treant... would hope so.... sooo.... much

I honestly do not know what they were thinking with that treant. Treants are cool, the prior huge treant was great, I would love to have some variety with these guys, lots of big plastic tree monsters. Instead they gave us this... this... ugh.
