what section, i looked but didn't see any?

I think this reply was to my suggestion about CVS drugs..(?)

I found them in the "center aisle" where they usually have the lawn chairs, t.v. carts, and other furniture type stuff. Over the last several years, CVS has been carrying more and more household type merchandise yet I was really surprised to see the t.v. trays there. I remember commenting to my wife about them being the exact same ones that I bought from Target.

You could probably ask your local store manager if they've carried them or if they can get them for you. They're by the manufacturer "Furio." Here's a link to the Target web site with info on them:
TV Trays

It's funny that the "detail" on that item doesn't have a picture yet there's a thumbnail of the exact trays! Good luck!

Well that didn't work out quite like I expected it! I tried to make the URL a live link but it blew up apparently!

Huhm... i did see something like that at target, maybe it was i just didn't want to blow the $37. Considering i would be the only footing the bill, and i had just spent a crap load of money ($150 on some other stuff). I seriously hate the cheapness of a few of the players in my game, one guy in particular. He LIVES there and won't even clean the god damn place up, his seat at the table is the worst, he orders out for Breakfast before the game, and won't lift a finger to clean unless you threaten XP withholding... and won't do a damn thing to spiffy up the place.

I would have spent close to $200 revamping the place, and there was still stuff i wanted to buy, so i may have just not wanted to shell out the money, i was looking for the CHEAP ones, like i remember from a kid... thin metal legs, crappy formica top... I don't want to invest all my money into a place i don't live at.

Seriously i had gotten a little box from work something had been shipped in, and was using it as a Dice rolling box to keep them from jumping all over and hitting the floor, this guy had already that day had about 6 dice go flying all over. I made the comment of yeah that's why i started using this, showed him the little box. And he was like cool, can you buy me one... I was like get one your self you could go to Micheals get one for under $3, but you want me to buy it for you... he was like yeah but then i would have to spend the money and drive out there.

Buy that point i think i was not willing to spend the money...

I’ll just throw 2cents in, speaking of side tables….. A real nice side table I’ve found is believe it or not a medical tray. The ones you see at a hospital with wheels that slides up under your bed, and the tray is in you’re lap while lying down to eat.

What’s nice is, there’s a nice flat work area, they rise up and down, there’s a drawer for storage, and they roll out of the way easily. They can be had for short money 20+ bucks at a used medical supply store.

I'd be afraid of the table rolling away everytime I put something on it or picked something up! ha ha..!

Actually, I've gotten a ton of use out of the t.v. trays I purchased. We like to have lots of friends over for crap t.v. / movies and dinner so we use them all the time when I'm not gaming.

For gaming, they've worked out pretty well. They really help keep the players junk off of the gaming table. It's amazing how much crap gamers collect when they come to play!

Dante,

Welcome Back Man... Good to Read ya...!

GhengisSka,

I Hear ya on the Price of the Nice Wooden TV trays, if ours had not been a Gift I do not Know if I would have Discovered them... And It has been a LONG time since I've seen those old Metal ones My Grandparents always had when I was a Kid... (Not Sure I have ever Seen the Formica Version)...

CalicoDave,

Those Spell Cards Look pretty Interesting, and I Have Looked at other RPGNow Stuff but have yet to Order, Figured I would wait until I Had enough Interesting "Wants" to have them Burn the Stuff and Mail it... (My Computer Would Never Finish a 5mb D/L...<Sigh>...

IO,

Those Hospital Tables sound interesting, I Do not have a Med Supply Place in Town though... AND even if they were 20 Bucks a Pop I am Not sure I would Invest for the Whole Group... I Have also thought about using those Clear Plastic Giant three Drawer, Rolling Storage Units... (Wally-world has them on Sale for $10.00 Ocassionally... Then there would be Lots of Storage room for every one!... Course I Do not have the Room for that Right Now... But you know... Someday...

This is a Preview post, will get edited later.

There is another person floating around here in my SW game (Rogan99 i think is his memeber id), we play at his house and over the past weekend he redid the Gameing Area. He built a table to play on and re-arranged the layout. Will take some pictures tonight of the new set up, and the massive table. 8 ft long x4 with an additonal bit off the side of 4x4 to make an L.

With a wall of Shelving for DF and Terrain.

Just finding this thread again to repost in later. tonight

GS -

Sounds like my gaming area; 4x8 model railroad table 2 months a year, gaming area 10 months a year!
Shelves underneath (except where the DF is stacked!!) and surrounding it - some of them with DF stacks as well!

If I think of it, pics this weekend.

See ya!

The room needs a bit more finish on it, but here is Da Wall of Terrain, and all of the Boxs o DF are just Some of them... I think you can tell who has been the GM longer by the amount of Fantasy Vs SF in the mix there.

Eventually the white shelves are getting replaced by better ones so the DF doesn't have to be stacked, and will make it easier to find.

Da Table

This is a pretty crappy picture of it, on another camera are some shots of it being built, but it is a massive thing, each side is 8 ft long, by 4 ft, the DM/GM has a little cubby in the corner and can set up the table and stuff, there is room easy for 3 people on a side.
So far one session, and the DF has started to sprawk and make hooking turns... :)

Me 'at's off to the DUKE!!

That L-shaped table looks GREAT! And the felt cover (or whatever it is) seems perfect for open movement or for keeping DF in one place; the DF felt has a tendency to slide around on polished wood; the painted plywood on my table works okay, though.

I still have to post my pics; unfortunately, the table has a lot of model-working stuff on it right now, as a result of customizing DF and other stuff. BUT, the village and the risers are there!

See ya!

Ah i take no credit for it, i just helped hold the lumber steady and lug stuff around. It's the baby of Rogan999 on these boards, he designed and built it with a little help from me.

Eventually under the table, you can see where part of it is visable, is a support for under table storage, right now the PC's Ship from the SW game is in there in a big plastic tote..

That must be one Gawd-Awful BIG FREAKIN' ship!

Is that you sitting there playing that PSP? Or whatever. I notice 7 Starters, 5 Passages, 3 Alphas and 3 Betas from SF, and a Cavern and a Cavernous Passages set. I can't get a count on the loose Fantasy pieces. And, is that a DoE under the stack?

See ya!
