One of my players wants to play a human bard with a guitar, or at least a stringed instrument. After a cursory search, so far all I've come up with is Reaper/Dark Heaven #2186, which is adequate, but not quite what my player has in mind.

Does anybody know of a better option? Since I need to obtain the fig, currently-available is better than OOP!

I can think of Two Plasticrack ones...

Devis, Half-elf Bard # 20 from Harbinger (looks plenty human) and Voice of Battle (could be female, could be male - hard to tell) #25 from Deathknell.

There's a nice 'foot and mounted' set in the old Citadel AD&D range from the mid-80s. He's well OOP, obviously, but worth keeping a lookout for on eBay. Here's the one I use for an annoying Bard NPC in my campaign:

otherworld;

I think I ran across one of your "annoying" bards the other day - only the damn fool was full size and SINGING!
Turned out to be a street music hanging out near Fells Point, waiting for the Pyrates invasion last weekend.
Wouldn't have been so bad, except he should have taken singing lessons from Popeye the Sailor Man; it would have been an improvement!
Thank GOD he didn't have a horse!

Hasslefree makes a nice male human bard with a lute, which is pretty close.

Man, you could totally turn that Hasslefree bard into Ziggy Stardust with a bit of modification...

Someone beat you to it. Laszlo Jakusovszky at Hot Lead already did Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars as a miniature diorama.

Dude, that's hilarious. I love those mecha-spiders. Reminds me of the concept of the mecha-scorpion I just painted up: www.purgatorio.com/gameroom/miniatures/painted_2006-2007/photos/scorp007.html

I think I'm gonna' pick up that Hasslefree bard and fix 'im up as Ziggy. ;-}~

Kradlo, I think you found me a winner. Rattlehead Games appears to have them in stock in the US and I've ordered one.

Genghis and Harneloot, the Voice of Battle may be a reasonable interim fig and I'll dig through my DDMs to check it out.

Thanks!
