I am appealing to the collective knowledge of this board in the hopes that someone can help me solve an on-going dilema I have as a DM....

I can't for the life of me find a proper sized wagon for my players to place their minis on.

Seems at some point in every game, the players aquire a wagon and are rolling down the road/path between towns/adventures. I've got minis, trees, hills, even the road! but no wagon.....

Anyone know where a DM can get a darn wagon?

I found two on eBay:

I know that GW use to make a wagon, but their online store doesn't list it. You may be able to get it as parts, but I'm not sure.

GW does make a wagon-like thing. More of a cart, really -- and it was available only in bits when I got mine, about four years ago or so. Hunting around their website might turn something up -- or just look through one of their big catalogues, if you have a local gaming store with one (which, frankly, I'd be surprised if they didn't)

Try looking at www.discounthobby.com in the Mega Minis section for the "Travelling Salesman and Cart". That might do the trick. It's fairly large considering what's on the market today. I just built it and can fit at least three to four 25-30mm based minis in it.

Thanks - all these suggestions look promising...

I also found some at Old Glory miniatures:

Harneloot--keep in mind that the Old Glory minis are closer to "true" 25mm than most figures on the market today. They're smaller than Reaper, GW, Privateer Press, and Rackham.

Found the page with the GW cart:

store.us.games-workshop.com/storefront/store.us?do=Individual&code=99061202027&orignav=9

That's a good start, I'd suppose. Price isn't bad, at least, especially for GW.

Try your Dollar store, some of the Cowboy and inidan sets of 54mm figures have some great wagons that may be a bit up scale for true 28/25 mm. But have the added benefit of they can be gridded out and actually hold some/many minis in their combat control area.

L, the cart you posted is for Warmaster, which is 10mm scale, not 28mm.

I don't think the online store lists the old 28mm wagons, but I might be able to find my old catalogues and find the reference numbers.

D'oh! I wondered why it couldn't be bits-ordered -- that's how I got mine! It looks exactly like the larger scale item, for anyone who wants to track that one down. Don't know how I missed that Warmaster tag -- sorry about that!

There is also a smaller wagon, titled "Peasant on Wagon" mini from Megaminis as well.

It is only about 1/2 the size (but of the same scale) as the larger "Travelling Salesman" mini that Dante suggested earlier.

Dante's suggested wagon is larger and therefore better for your party's needs, but this mini is a "must have" IMHO as well.

Not only do you have a different (smaller) wagon, you also have a useful "sitting" mini (the peasant driver) for your tavern setups.

Suggested passenger room of "Peasant Wagon": One driver and one (25mm) passenger in the back.

Hope this helps.

Wereweasel--I agree! It's a great piece to have for your town setting. As you mentioned, the cart is small, but it comes with a cool driver and "pack" of goods. I painted that one up but don't have a pic online yet. I'll post when I do!
