With very careful use of a Dremel, you could try to convert the part of the sign that attaches to the signpost to a round cross-section instead of square, then drill a matching hole into the outside of the wall on an MBS piece. Then the sign would slot directly into the piece.

BTW, are the signs detailed on both sides, or only one?

The signs are detailed on both sides -- the beer stein is identical on the back, the shield is clearly wood on the back (which is nice, since I had already decided I wasn't going to paint it metallic).

I'm not sure I follow you about the conversion, but it is moot since I don't have/can't use a dremmel. But I will say this -- all three signs have a kind of U-shaped hook on the end (though positioned properly, the U is lying on its side) and they simply "hook" onto the rounded top of the signpost, and have to be glued in place. Because the hookup is horizontal, not vertical, gravity works against you. I used green stuff to give it a bit of extra stuff to hold onto (and for extra stickiness before the glue dried) but this design is going to be somewhat unstable no matter what. A long drop or a severe knock will take the sign right off the pole.

And since the sign ends with a lying-on-its-side hook, you'd have to find some other way to slide it into a hole in any DF piece. You could try unbending the hook, but it is so thin that would weaken it and the resulting piece woudl probably snap under the weight of holding up the sign.

When I eventually post pics, I'll try to include a closeup of how the sign hooks up so it's clearer what I'm taking about...
