It looks like the new D & D mini pictures have been posted for their latest release -- "Unhallowed".

www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/mg/20070301mg

I just saw them and WOW...I'm pretty excited about these in comparison to past sets. I swear that this set was MADE exclusively for DF's dungeons, caverns, lakes and Den of Evil!

My personal favs:

1) "Bone Naga", "Tsucora Quori" or "Caller In Darkness" for the Den of Evil.
2) "Beholder Lich", "Werewolf Lord" or Rat Swarms for the Cavern set.
3) "Large Ice Elemental", "Marid" or "Stormrage Shambler" for Cavernous River & Lakes set.

...or my very favorite of all -- The "Ogre Excutioner" tucked away in the locked kitchen of the MBS set playing the part as the town butcher!

I'm really looking forward to these minis!

~Cheers

Agreed! An Strahd the vampire (or even the Devourer) might fit with the DOE as well....

Yeah, either of those would look good in the DOE.

Another odd thing about these minis...many of them remind me of some of the characters that I've encountered here in the forums -- *laughs*
Of course, I've never never met any of you; and for the most part, I've been a silent observer here on the forum over the past few years until recent months anyway. You'll probably think me crazy, but here's how I see some of you guys...

The "High Inquisitor" reminds me of -- DANTE
"Thrall of the Blackrazor" reminds me of -- L
The "Vampire Hunter" reminds me of -- JACKATTACK
The "Duergar Slaver" reminds me of -- KRADLO
The "Pentifex Monolith" reminds me of -- IO
The "Ogre Executioner" certainly must be -- JKRATZER (except on Mondays, when he's more like the "Gravetouched Ghoul"!)

Oddly, I see Jeff (of DF fame) as the mischievious "Fire Mephit"...
...and Stefan, of course must be the "Wizard of Turmish" as he sits on his magic carpet weaving his enchanting dungeon spells!

~Cheers

Duergar Slaver, eh? Just because my smiles make my players cringe in fear? Okay, I can live with that.

Some of those are really cool looking. Good call on the "High Inquisitor", Ghost. ;-}~ Looks more like a vampire hunter to me than the actual vampire hunter they have pictured there, though.

I just saw a comment that L made about the next set having a Gelantinous Cube. Anybody know if that's true?

I didn't hear about the Gelatinous Cube rumor until now...can't wait to see what their version (WOTC) looks like though, if the rumor is true.

I'll have to look into that one a little bit.

Well it will certainly be interesting to see how they make the GC. If it were squeezable, that would rock. Not necessary, but it would rock. I still say mine will be better. ;-}P~

Hello All,

The next set is called Night Below and there certainly have talked quite a bit about the GCube. They had an article that was posted from their engineer who said it would be difficult and that it would be expensive. So who knows? However here is the description of the next set

This latest D&D Miniatures Game release includes several infamous D&D characters and popular D&D monsters. Dungeon-dwelling horrors figure prominently in the set. Various figures are drawn from key D&D titles, including the various Monster Manual supplements, as well the Eberron, Forgotten Realms, and Dragonlance campaign settings. Four miniatures—one per faction—also have a second stat card that features epic-level statistics specifically for high-level versions of those figures.

We have a shot at it based on this description.

Dante, are you selling your GCube on Ebay yet? I would like to pick one up.

Shadox--since we moved state, I don't have a properly ventilated workshop to produce the cubes (the fumes from the curing resin are deadly toxic) so I have to set up shop in our garage this spring. Problem is, it's attached to the house so I'm not sure what kind of results I'll have with the fumes (have a wife and toddler to worry about).

A friend of mine and I are discussing plans to ::ahem:: "test" out some cubes this spring so keep an eye out for future updates.
