Dave

I know - for a few years to come Role Play will always have a physical component in it. Still - most of the DF items can be bought again in case they break - which hardly ever happens.

I therefore reckon that replacing broken items will increase my expenses with DF by <10% in regard to all the new stuff I buy each year.

Yes - the DOE is stored on the highest shelf and it is only taken out under adult supervision. Otherwise - no - the gaming room isn't locked. After all - the kids also store their toys there and I have to share the room.

Dante,

Do you have (or recall) the actual name/description of that orange/fiery sheet.

I checked my local Mike's and they didn't have any of that type and colour. As a result I may have to ask for a special order of it.

Thanks again.

Steve--all
four sheets that I have are currently buried underneath a cavern setup similar to the one pictured in my link above--we're in the middle of that adventure so I don't want to pull it out. But... hopefully this will help: The bluish green textured paper that I have is from "Provo Craft" and it's called "Texture Blue Diamond. The SKU # is 42-5631 and the UPC Code is 93573 05632. If they can find that product, they should be able to look up the other colors. There's a deep red (which is nice, but the orange totally rocks for fire / lava lakes!) and a few others
as well.

This stuff is just absolutely beautiful. Man, I'm looking at this again after having it stored in a "safe" place (away from my son's amazing reach) and just realized that I really have to get this on the table somehow soon! I wish they did this stuff in larger sheets like 24" x 36". Couldn't imagine the cost though!

EDIT: I found it! It's called (appropriately enough!) "Heatwave"!
The item # is 42-5604 UPC Code: 093573056048

It is with great reluctance that I post this link only for the single reason that the pictures here of these papers absolutely suck. The paper, when held in front of you looks nowhere near as sucky as these photos do:

Perfect!

Thanks again Dante.

BTW,

I imagine if there were some cliff ledges (4" long strips of uneven, tapered cavern flooring) included with a future CWA Set those could prove very useful for this type of setup as well.

Thanks Dante - I'm off to Michael's craft store!

And thanks Wereweasel for the application of the negative space idea posted here www.dwarvenforge.com/dwarvenforums/viewtopic.php?id=1010 by jackattack

What do you think Stefan? Could we see this type of chasm floor tiles in the future?

Thanks Harneloot, I missed that reference. In fact, it doesn't surprise me that jackattack thought of this almost a year ago.

What surprises me is that these pieces haven't appeared on more Cavernous WA wish lists -or at least more often.

These just seem like essential pieces for any (complete) Cavernous WA Set.

Awesome idea jackattack.

Hey, guys. I thought I'd check in and see if anybody picked up that paper I mentioned that Michael's carries. I promised I'd post some pics of it with some of my sea craft sitting on it when I found the time. Well, I made some time last night to shoot some pics so here's the link:

www.purgatorio.com/gameroom/miniatures/painted_2006-2007/photos/2007_089.html

Navigation is at the bottom of the pages as is descriptive text. There are about 7 shots with the paper in them.
There are also some pics of some nice Grendel Kitchen scenery a bit further back in the photo album. If you click on the index link in the center on the bottom of any of the image pages, you'll be able to quickly view where they're at. Enjoy! Let me know if you have any questions on any of the stuff in the images.

Dante -

Paper looks VERY good; Dwarven Attack subs look GREAT!
Tell me, what does a dwarf sound like when he says something like "Make your depth 200 feet, rig for silent running, standby torpedoes"? What about "C'mon, Big D, FLY!"

Just had to ask.

I was in my Mikes last weekend, and took a swing through that section but didn't see the paper, was on a bit of a budget crunch and time so didn't really look that hard though, was in and out of the store in 5 minutes and only spent like $15.

Dante,

I'm off to another Mike's location this weekend, in hopes of finding that paper there.
