I think all the basic sets are being priced at $20 so far - so not too bad I guess - reasonable - I plan to purchase quite a few of these. Glad to hear that they will be releasing 30 sets or thereabouts - I probably have 20 sets already but still regret not having ordered some that I wanted but just didn't get to...so this is great news!

Hi Philip -

And anyone else interested in some Armorcast items... A new company, "Fiend Foundry" (www.fiendfoundry.com) has purchased quite a bit of Tony Collosante's Medieval Building and Terrain Masters and is slowly releasing them. I haven't ordered from them yet but will be soon ... I need a couple more barns for my city wharf district !! And stone bridges. And more cottages. And ....

Maybe I need to buy less and play more !!!!!

Yeah i saw Fiend Foundry had bought a lot the Armorcast line, but wasn't thrilled by what they had put out so far from it.

I believe they've only gotten the rights to Tony's Medieval line. I don't know if we'll ever see some of the other fantastic Armorcast resins hit the market again. I loved the Tech Trenches as well as the Overhead Pipelines for a good, gritty TechWorld Sprawl board. And the Egyptian line ... beautiful !!! We can only hope to see them available in the future. As it was, I dropped over $500 on the "Last Call" order before they closed the production lines. Yeah, I'm a sucker for great terrain !!

Well I'm glad that somebody picked up at least some of the Grendel line if not all. I'd feel much better about buying direct from Johnny than from the guy on eBay that's selling knockoffs.

Myrthe--I had a shopping cart FULL of Armocast stuff to buy just before the "last call" as you put it. Then along came a huge, unexpected medical bill. ;-}~ Let's see now, Liver... Armorcast... liver... Armorcast... (just kidding, it wasn't that serious but it pretty much killed my extra "play" money at the time).

Hi Dante -

Actually, I got the $500 by selling a kidney :D ... joking ....
I know too well what you mean about "real life" interfereing with "play life" ... it can take all the fun out of it !!

Armorcast's Egyptian line was unique, and (from the pictures) very well done. They had a set of columns and cross-beams to represent open-air temples, they had sphinxes and obelisks, and they had small pyramid-tombs that looked great. However, unless you are running an Egyptian game (or a game in which your adventurers encounter that architecture regularly) the pieces have limited utility.

Anyone know a retailer that has Armorcast stuff available? I'm looking for bits from the Cathedral range, especially pews, gravestones, mauseleums, gothic gates and walls etc.

Oddly and mainly, the Sci-Fi stuff ;)
I really liked the (6026) Weapon: Wave Cannon as well as the whole line of the Small Tanks and Generators, Large Tanks and Generators (very little of it was around, (i managed to score #250), and some of the rubble i was interested in), (531) Dumpsters, (552) Radar Dish, (571) Large Oil Storage Tank, (572) Large LPG Storage Tank, (551) Air Duct Vent, (560) Modular Refinery Box Set, the entire Organic Refinery Kits line, and most of the ALIEN PLANTS (i got a few of those) most of the Crystals (did get a few of what they had left) and lastly (461) Bubbly Craters.

Had the stuff i wanted been around it would have been a pretty big order, as it was i think it was over $100 but can't remember.

For this weekend actually not sure, i was in Enfield last weekend (twice actually on a drive through up 91, and back, tried calling to snag those boxes, but wasn't sure when i would be there for sure, so left no message). I am putting some of my DF in storage this weekend (the Sci-fi passages) since the SW game ended, a bit prematurly and the group does'nt want to start another SW game, and i don't really want to run a D&D game right now (espically after how the SW game ended). But it means i will be pulling all of my Sci-Fi home if just to clear out the area for the Fantasy and the game i am a player in.

So I may be the L of Sci-Fi soon, with loads of ideas on setups i want to build on the coffe table in the works...

Also after Papa Troll's post it got me thinking, i have

I'm a sucker for the Egyptian stuff (have some Grendel pices...painted even...that look great...) - the Hirst molds intruige me greatly - and unfortunatly I never got in on the Armorcast stuff. I have a bunch of Egyptian minis (including a bunch of the Wargods stuff as well as historicals etc) - very few painted yet however - though I have grand plans...I have a major group/civilization in my (original) D & D varient wilderness campaign called "Ayeps" that are (somewhat of) a cross between Egyptians, Aztec & Pan Tang (from Morcock's Elric) that live in cliffside Zigarraut style pyramids along with having Egyptian style (underground) temples and burial stuff - etc - as well as AmerInd like cliffside dwellings (a la Mesa Verde) - so I am in the process of at least concieving of and collecting stuff to one day flush out some environments for them...guess I'll go Hirst at some point...just no time for it...

I also like some of the other Armorcast stuff...and am considering purchasing some Fiend Foundry roads to go with the MBS stuff...anyone have any comment on these?

Thats good news about grendel and armorcast. I have a few of the armorcast egyptain peices (two painted one I have to strip) a friend of mine is starting an egyptain themed game after we get to level 20 ... we're 15 now and counting. I found some really cool stuff for the campain in the local pet store in the fish section ... big sphinx and some smaller statues you might want to try there. Hirst arts ... we have be threating to do that for a bit now. I'd like to get some of the egyptain molds but need more time ... this work thing gets in the way. We use the armorcast metal egyptain head for our dirtside games as an alien artifact. Got to go see you guys later
