As Far as Reaper Goes, I Have No Issues with the Detail, How Could I? Theay are at least as Well Made as Ral Partha Could Be... But I Guess the Biggest Thing For Me Is That I Do Not Have the Workspace to Paint the Way I Would Want to, so The New Plastics Make it Easy... And As Carnivore Pointed out, it is Interesting to be able to Design an Adventure around Miniatures that I Have, but Might Never Have Purchased Spontaneously...

I love painting miniatures! It's pretty much what got me into playing in the first place. Among my favorite brands of miniatures are Hasslefree which is by far my favorite, Reaper of course, Iron Kingdoms and the $0.99 miniatures at Discount Hobby which are really incredible considering the price. There are other lines I pick and choose from but those four really are my favorites.

I don't really care for Confrontation miniatures or any of the Warhammer lines. Confrontation because I don't like the sculpting, the minis look disproportioned and lack any personality whatsoever. I don't like Warhammer minis because they're overpriced and I've seen a lot of bad casts in the blister packs.

Since we're on the topic of miniatures, can anyone recommend a place to get a decent looking fig that could pass for a Dwarf Rogue/Sorcerer?

(What can I say? I like to play against type.)

I've been all over Reaper, New Wave and Discount Hobby and can't find a thing.

That's a tall order Cornelius...or perhaps a short order...errm. Bleh.

Anyway, have you looked at the Celtos dwarves? Here's a couple off fantization.com.

Hasslefree has some really great dwarves but I don't know if any fit the rogue/sorcerer character.

Here a couple anyway!

You Know, I Have a Dwarf "Wizard" Mini that I Painted Years and Years Ago... I'll Have to Double Check to See if there is a Makers Mark on the Base or Not... He, (She), is wearing a Cloak and Carrying a Stack of Tomes though so it Loses the Sorcerer Feeling I Guess... But I'll Try and Get back to You With that anyway...

Personally I Agree with you... But 3.5 Places Sorcerers in a Kind of "Wild" Magic Category, that does not require the use of Written or Memorized Spells, so they (Sorcerers), would not need to be able to Read at all, relying on Charisma/Personality to Focus the Magic... In Any Event it is a Fairly kewl little Miniature...
