Congrats on your collection, how many cases did you go with?
Six, plus a couple boosters from the prerelease tournament. How did you fare?

Re-posting here some info someone else had presented regarding D&D miniatures:

"I highly recommend Auggies on Ebay for singles. They have great prices and charge only $3.50 on shipping no matter how many miniatures you buy in an order, including the huge ones. But the best way to buy these minis if you can afford it is to buy one or more cases from someone like Gameoutfitter.com for about half retail price (a bit over half) to get the bulk of them, then fill in the rest of your needs by trading on maxminis.com (a trading site) or buying singles on Ebay. The huge fire elementals pictured by L above sell for less than $3. The huge blue dragonspawn were selling for $1.49 last time I checked"

I forget who first posted it (why am I alwasy too lazy to look it up? sorry!), but I think L or GA were the ones that kind of started the D&D and MC-something threads. In any case, thanks to those that did. Except for the toxic smell which I still need to soap-wash away, I am really beginning to appreciate these miniatures. No more fears about letting the players handle them. In fact, I even offereted to let my 22-month old daughter to play with them - and she did! ;)

I still appreciate my metal painted figs, but these plastic figs allow me to purchase so much more for such much less and to have figs that I don't really even have to think about (care for or worry about protecting). Yippie! Of course I still think the paint jobs are typically better on the metal figs I purchase, but that's probably because of the painter I utilize. :)

Thanks again.
