I'm there. First Con (AT LAST!). I'll be volunteering with True Dungeon, helping setup Tuesday and Wednesday, probably running player registration from time to time Wednesday through Saturday, and helping to disassemble on Sunday.
As I've really never gotten to be a player (who wasn't also DM at the time) in my 20+ years with the game, I have squeezed in two (only! *cry*) D&D games. I watned to check out a LARP and some comedy acts, but it looks like I won't really have time to do these things.

I'll have a better understanding of my time, time at the con, and time with TD for next year. I won't know if I'm going to volunteer again (assuming Jeff would have me back...) next year or if I'm going to take four days for GAMING! I really want to game. I think it's about time to forget gaming with adults (who don't have enough time) and take any teenager who loves to play D&D. :)

2nd edition please (First preferred over third).

Congratulations on the child. I'm loving our two. :) Just wish they were old enough to come along.

John -

I KNOW where you're coming from; I've worked Shore Leave every July since 1985; this is my first year I'm NOT working (well, okay, I'm taping Temple Sunday morning, but that's all!). I MAY or MAY NOT get dragged into a game after Temple, depending entirely on whether or not I'm permitted entry in the Game Room after bailing on Joe, and whether or not I get invited to play. IF I do, I do; if I don't, no problem there, either. I haven't played (other than as DM) in 2-3 years anyway, so it's not as if I'm going through withdrawal now, either. I have just as much fun collecting DF, putting together setups and accessories, and lurking here on the DF forums!

Sorry; 3rd Edition.

See ya!
