I am talking about the French miniatures manufacturer Fenryll. Here:
www.fenryll.fr/

Are they prepainted, or only some of them, or none of them?

I can't find that information for the life of me, and I know some of you guys use them in their DF set-ups and games.
Thanks!

I haven't gotten any minis, just accessories, but they all came unpainted.

They do have some very nice stuff. I've been thinking about getting the waterfall.

Cheers,

None that I know of. I've ordered several over the past few years and they've all been unpainted. They have some great stuff! I'm not sure where you're ordering yours from but you might want to check out www.discounthobby.com. Johnny carries a lot of their line.

If you do get the waterfall, please post some pics. I'm curious to see how it fits in with DF, and it's hard to tell scale from the pics online.

Yep I'm ordering generally from discount hobby as well.

I actually emailed one of the guys of Fenryll and he confirmed what you've all been saying: none of the Fenryll items come pre-painted. Which makes their website kind of misleading, if you ask me. Still, they have great furniture and diorama accessories, don't they? :)

I don't know--most e-Tailers put some sort of disclaimer on their sites regarding miniatures coming "unpainted and unassembled". If you've been collecting miniatures (not the pre-painted clickies like Mageknight, et al) for awhile, you've probably come to learn that most minis come unpainted unless you're buying things like em4 pre-painted pewter minis.

I have to admit though--seeing a site that posts pics of their stuff painted hooks me every time! I'm like the black hole of unpainted lead. I have enough minis in blisterpacks to last me another couple of lifetimes. ;-}~ One of these days I'll get around to organizing and painting them. ::he says for the thousandth time::

That must be why even Wang Yan-lo laughs at me.
I am even deeper in hell then where he rules.

I am so far into Niflheim that even Hel has forgotten me.

Speaking of myth and such, did you guys know you can get several deities including the Norse trickster Loki in chocolate?

That's awesome. I think I'll get the Venus of Willendorf for my wife. She'd appreciate that. She has a couple of degrees in Womens' Studies, Medieval History, and Religion.

Speaking of Loki and Discount Hobby--awhile back Johnny was giving out free LE Gods & Goddess minis with purchases over a certain amount. I wound up with Loki in one of my purchases. I have a couple others that I can't recall presently but they're tucked away in the Collective. ;-}~

Not to be too anal-retentive, but I thought that particular deity was Yen-lo-wang; at least, according to Justin Xiang Allard, as written by Mike Stackpole.

I KNOW you will get the reference. FYI, my favorite BT author.

See ya!

Sorry Jim, but MAS got it wrong.
First, surname must be in front of the given name in the Orient.
Second, MAS must have screwed up with the 'e' instead of the 'a'.
They are too far away from each other on the keyboard.

Also, many times in referencing him in literature, only part of the name is used -- Wang or Yan-lo.

Hold on, I just received a message from a friend of mine in Asia who I had sent a message about what I posted here.
He says the way I wrote it is the most common way of writing it, but he says there are eight other ways in Asia depending what your native language is and where you live: Bao-Yan-Luo, Yan-Luo-Wang, Yanluo-Wang, Wang-Yan-luo, Yeng-Wang-Yeh, Yama, Yen-Wang and, I guess MAS was shooting for the way it is written (sort of) in just two southern provinces of China -- Wang-Yen-lo.
Then again Jim, I have met MAS; he is definitely an odd duck.
He and Danforth deserve each other.

That last one was close to MAS's way Jim; maybe he just did the Western European thing and decide what looked like a surname had to be at the end.
