I'll bet I'm the only "1e only" guy here.

I run a 1E Classic Greyhawk game - just finished the Slave Lords and gearing up for the Giants! And I play in two other 1E games.

My group has a 1E Greyhawk campaign too. I'm a player in that one and the DM has had this campaign running on and off for at least the last 20+ yrs with a few of the original PCs still coming and going. I also DM with the same group and have a 1E campaign running in the Scarred Lands (D20) game world. It took some reworking of stats in some cases, but I mostly just use story lines, history, and geography from the books, then run original or obscure 1E modules reworked for that setting. Most of the people in the group have seen and/or run through several times each 1E module, so basing things in the Scarred Lands setting keeps things "new" and interesting. I still haven't read the core books for D20, so things are as close to 1E as you can get.

We ended our last 1E campaign last July. These days we are strickly 3.5. There are a lot of things I liked about 1E, but now find it too limiting.

Big thanks to TheDungeonDelver for the heads-up on Dragonsfoot.org! I checked it out briefly and it looks like an awesome resource for those of us still trying to keep 1E alive. I'll be spending some quality time browsing and downloading there tonight. One of my favorite sites of yore was Bean's Page. Don't know if anybody else remember's it, but it used to be a pretty good stockpile of original mods in the 1E style. I saved the page and most of the files to my hard drive and still haven't managed to read through them all. There were some sleepers there, but some real gems too. Thanks again!

We still played 2nd ed when 3rded came out. It's not the same game. So we started playing HackMaster. Still not the same.
I'm glad I still have everything 1st ed that I've had since I started gaming 20 years ago.
We're about to go back to glorious 1st ed. I can't wait. Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 1st ed will ALWAYS be the best rpg, imo.
I checked out Dragonsfoot recently, too. Cool site.

I hear all kinda wild stuff. I understand they have a skill system now?

Any comments would be nice.

I guess add me to the 1ed list! :D I have little intrest in 2-3ed.

We only every play 1st ed with some heavy house rules to keep things more balanced and interesting. Makes for some fun stuff.
