Can anyone identify the myriad of fantasy accessories in the photos DF used to use (and may still, for all I know) on their packaging? The big red dragon, the giant table and chairs, the thrones.... There are lots of pieces, minis and furniture, and I'm wondering if anyone out there knows it all.

Me, I know none of it. It isn't the Grenadier/Ral Partha stuff I grew up with, and until DF came along I wasn't paying any attention to the hobby. Like I've said many times, if it weren't for DF, I probably never would have gotten back into it.

L,

I use that pic for my desktop wallpaper! Funny - there has always been these two white splotches in the picture which I now realise must be where some holes were torn in the picture when it was peeled off a DF box before been scanned and posted on the net.

There are lots of Ral Partha miniatures in the picture including a Displacer Beast and Manticore from thier AD&D line. The heroes facing forward look like they are from the same line (the Male/Female packs). The Dragon, if memory serves is the RP "Dragon of the Mountain" and the Skeletons look to be RP. I recognise the chest with the lid off up the back but don't know the manufacturer but have it in my collection from the early 80's. Might be wrong on afew of these as the picture is not too clear. No idea on the furnishings.

This lends credence to what I have been saying on other threads that paper accessories and figures are not a waste even when compared to like items made from metal.
