Great Inn, I wish I could see the inside. Sounds like it is strong enough. I have some plaster stuff that was coated 3 times but is still very crumbly. Just got in some of the narrow passage stuff that they have for sale. I'm glad I got more of this before they go. Did they ever produce a long narrow passage??? I think I remember seeing one advertised somewhere.

The MBA stuff is VERY durable...I'd say they are to outdoor buildings what DF is to inside stuff. Primo paintjobs as well...DF and MBA must use the same Chinese kids.

There is No Doubt that MBA has the Goods when it Comes to Affordable Well Painted Outdoor Scenary... I Have the Church from the Euro I Series, and it is Very Nice to Have... The Interiors are Very Basic however, (Single Room with No Features), so they are not so Great for trying to RP in... Don't get me Wrong I Love that the Roof Comes off, and that you Can But Bow and Crossbow Figs in the Windows etc. But they are Matte Black Finish, and Very Small on the Insides of the MBA Stuff... So it's Kinda like Playing Bauldars Gate with these Things, You Get a Village which is Pretty and Just Under Scale on the Outside, and on the Inside you Pretty Much Can Do What Ever Scale or Not, Cause You Will likely End Up Drawing the Interior on a Battle Mat, or Using DF or What Ever...

Take a look at the Halfling House, it is anything but plain on the inside!

http://www.miniaturebuildingauthority.com/detail.asp?product_id=601

Very nice detail if a bit cramped, but it is made for halflings!

Obviously it has Been a While Since I Have Been to the MBA Site... The Descriptions of The Various Series are as Follows...

Euro Series (I-III So Far): Painted Exteriors, Removeable Roof and Floors on Multi Story Buildings... There is a lot of Variety but Again Limited Interior Detail... (Series II & III have Some Nice Looking Accessories Including Some Food Laden Tables, Stacks of Grain Sacks, Etc... And I THink I Mentioned in an Earlier Post that they have a Privy Right?...<Grin>...).

Euro Series IV: There are No Details or Photos as Yet...

Gold Series: There are Three Great Looking Models Here with all of the Advantages of the Euro Series Removable Roofs and Floors, but Also Detailed Interiors, these are Highly Specialized... A "Mill" a "Black Smith" and a "Country Cottage"... (The Black Smith Looks Like a Must Have)...

Fantasy Series: The Hobbit House is Very Kewl... And Has Nice Looking Interiors...

Modern Series: No Info Yet, but I Can't wait to See what those will be all about...

In any Event the Number of MBA Pieces that Have Interiors are Still Limited but it is Good to see them Expanding... They Still can not really Compete with DF, but Fortunatley they Do not Have to, they are (For the Most Part), Apples and Oranges...

It would be expencive but a great begining to an adventure would be to put one of those new Bullets that WOTC will have in front of it as the PCs come around a corner. After killing the beasty the greatefull hobbit will give them info on the next leg...... :?

True, but they compliment each other very well. Looks like Grendel does also. I just don't get much time to paint. Actually I get lots of time, but refuse to paint by myself!

Brvheart,

I Hear ya... And You are Right there is a Very Nice Continuity to the MBA Stuff, There is a Nice "Village" like Display at a Local Comic Store, they probably have 15 or So Buildings with the Cobble Stone Streets, Town Well etc... And even though Each Building Is Different, they Go Very Nicely Toghether...

Whitewind,

Bullett? Is it Part of the GOL Stuff? or Something Else? We always used to Use Plastic Dinosaurs for them... (There is one Sort that Looks Like a Bullet... Hmmm... Wonder which Came First...<Chuckle>....)
