Which pieces do you find that you simply have too many of? Doors, corners, other?

And what do you do with them? Trade, store, or customize?

I find that I have more doors (from the Rooms and R&P sets) than I really ever use. So far they are just stored.
Maybe some future huge build can use them all.
And now with all the GT doors...

I have to think bigger.

Has anyone considered (re)painting doors (and other pieces) for specific purposes or scenarios?

A door with rusty ironwork and a heavy dark wash might appear old and rickety.

A door with white symbols scratched on it might have wards or a magical trap.

A door with a big red X might be a bloody warning not to go further.

A door painted fluorescent green might be a magical construct or effect.

@jackattack,

Those are some great ideas. I've been figuring out a list of variations myself for the doors (mostly the face doors) since there seem to be so many. Some other options are:

For the face door:
- paint it a copper or bronze and the, using turquoise, paint a patina.
- paint blood red.
- paint steel, silver or gold versions.

For any of the doors (except the broken one, probably): paint with the invisible florescent to mark it as a magically locked/warded door (which needs to be dispelled). Make sure to mark on the bottom so you know which door it is.

Paint or cut some "large" beast claw marks into one of the doors.

What Do You Do With Surplus Pieces?

Well my suggestion is that you pack them into a box and get rid of them by sending them to me?

See now that was easy .....Right?

@Keeblerorc - I'd love to do that, as long as you return the favor with some of your custom pieces. :) haha
