What products go well with Dwarven Forge? 1 Year, 2 Months ago
Hey guys, I'm fairly new to 3d terrain and just heard about Dwarven Forge through a friend of mine who told me about www.kickstarter.com/projects/dwarvenforge/dwarven-forges-game-tiles-revolutionary-miniature I loved the look of this stuff and went MEGA CRAZY with a pledge cough... cough 2k well spent ^_^

Anyway I was wondering if any of you guys/girls know of other sites that sell pre-painted/non painted terrain/objects that go well with my stuff coming in October. As I tried looking through the forums and had no idea of where to look.

Could you please post the links below.

Much appreciated, ^_^

PS. Anyone know where I could purchase the dwarven forge medieval set and how long does it take for new stock to be made on here :D

Hey there and welcome to the forums! As far as some websites with accessories the one I used just sold all of its molds BUT i think they sold some of them to this link www.midlamminiatures.co.uk/....Also since i made a pretty large order on the KS as well I have been getting into making my own accessories with sculpey and super sculpey. Its really foor for say crates, barrels, chests chairs tables and its REALLY fun you might look into getting some from your local hobby store. And as far as restocks go I think its a couple times a year with one coming up soon I believe the best thing i can tell you is sign up to be notified on the items you want and be ready lol. I hope that helped have a great day.

Try Thomarillion to start with. Lots of furniture items, but they need to be painted.

Thanks for the vast replies, really appreciate it. :D

@ Crimson_King_of_the_Tower, Yeah I looked into making my own using moulds that you can purchase from sites. Is it hard to do?
And thank you for answering my PS question.

As far as using molds that you can by on the internet from say hirst arts its not too difficult and if you find it daunting the guy has lots of really good instructional tutorials and videos on how to use them and cast items so i dont think you would have too many problems

There are also a number of sites that sell HirstArts in varying degrees of finished, from unpainted individual precast bricks to fully painted and assembled buildings.

Most of the sites being listed are foreign. I'm surprised no one has mentioned
www.showcaseterrain.com. I'm preparing to make an order with them in a week or so. Has anyone tried their products before?

Also if you go on Ebay and search for seller jahecker he makes and paints lots of great terrain and I personally feel his prices are not bad at all.

As far as showcase terrain goes I think that is one of the places that jackattack is referring to about selling some of the hirts arts stuff in various stages of finish I may be wrong. But I WAS about to buy some of their dungeon tiles before i found out about the DF kickstarter and now I have more pieces than i know what to do with. I'm going to have to get bigger graph paper......lol
