Does anyone have any tips to keep players from rolling their dice inside MasterMaze displays? I need a solution soon because I'm running out of room for bodies in my crawlspace.

Try a rap on the back of the knuckles with a steel metre ruler! You'll only need to do it once!

Tell them if there's any chippage to the pieces from rolling then they'll have to pay to have it replaced. Then tell them how much it costs.

This has worked well in my group for similar things (you keep throwing the mini's around you'll have to buy me new ones, etc.)

YukonCornelious,

Although Otherworlds Solution really is the most Elegant...<Grin>... Giving folks a designated Die Rolling area works rather well... And although there are a Few Die rolling "Boxes" for sale here and there, a Really "Cheap" and easy way to do it, is to take a Cardboard Cracker Box (Ritz, Wheat thins, Triscuits or whatever), and Cut it upen to form a Tray... It can be Reinforced with the Omni-usefull Tool of the Gods... DUCT-TAPE! And Really Ambitious Folks Could even Line it with Cheap Cloth... Ultimately any such Rolling area works fine, (Including Board Game Box Tops), but I find that having one that is small enough to not take up half your Game table is a Must... It also discourages Those Players who like to Roll too close to their edge of the Table where everyone may not be able to "See" those Natural Twenties being Rolled all of the Time...<Smirk>... Let us Know what your Solution is...

Go to some place like michaels and get a little box, to use as a dice rolling box, if it isn't rolled in there it doesn't count, or get some other "designated" surface, the first time they Crit but it doesn't count they will stop rolling on the DF.

Or you could stick one alive in the crawlspace, almost kill him, let him escape and let him tell the othesr now of the horror. Your probelm is no one is alive to tell the tale, the rest of he players just think there is a high attreition rate or "wife" problems that keeps the other guys who have "quit" away...

GhengisSka,

You may have a Point there... This would be the Most Effective Deterent threat... Except for the Minor Inconvienience of having a Living Witness... Course You CAN Game in Jail, but there is not much room for a really Good Collection of Game Accessories... And Of Course you have to be Careful about using words like Accessory, or Accessorize while you await your Final Sentance being Carried out...

Every time my players roll on DF, they instantly spring a previously undetected trap. One day they will figure it out. =)

Yeah but with the Way a Good DM is hard to find... i doubt the guy would blow the whistle on YC, and even if he did the rest of the group i bet would be albi witnesses... "No officer, we were Playing D&D at the time in question, Bob is just pissed becuase Yukon killed his Wizard."

YukonCornelious,

Hear that? The Bottom Line here seems to be that you Maintain your Highly Valuable GM status...er...Excuse me... Your "He's the Best GM around, therefore Highly Valuable Status"... Which may entail posting a notice at your local Hobby store encouraging all GM's in the Area to Stop by your Place, maybe promise them all that they have been nominated for the Much Coveted "Best GM in Town" Trophy, and there is a Star Trek on DVD marathon and Cheese Doodle eating Contest at your House in their honor... Then once their Egos are sated introduce them to the Crawlspace... This is probably an important prelude to the Slow introduction of Valuable "Good Players" back into the Population once they have Survived a Couple of Days in Isolation...

Or I Suppose you could just make the Die Rolling Box...<Chuckle>...
