Interesting use for Den of Evil Wicked Edition.... 3 Years, 5 Months ago
So I've been working on building a town for awhile now and last week I started piecing together the church. I love the big 6x6 tiles from the den of evil set but the ruby in the center prevents you from stacking anything on top of it....... or so I thought.....

Well I set an ogre's den on top of it and noticed that because of the size
and weight it was pefectly balanced. I could even freely spin the ogres den like a top and it would go around 2-3 times with one push. This makes
the ultimate rotating room. I had a little second story walk way for access
but then I could spin the room so the opening was facing the rear of the building which would prevent any easy access. Try picking a lock to a second story door with nothing to stand on !

I'm not sure if this was on purpose or pure accident but it's pretty cool either way.

That could be used for a cool trapped room. The party enters, sets off the trap, and the room spins to another entrance where something really nasty awaits......
I would love to try it but alas, no Ogre's den.

Very interesting idea JLS....does the gem on the floor tile seem nearly indestructible or must you be careful of home much pressure/spinning is involved?

I wouldn't consider it indestructible nor would I consider it terribly fragile. The none too insignificant pressure of another entire large floor tile does no damage to it when it is sitting in its packaging so it stands to reason that the simple act of gently spinning something atop of it would not cause any damage. I wouldn't be concerned about scratching the gem considering there is felt underneath every piece.
