I just recently got the Dwarven Forge Treasure and Magic Item set and it is quite nice. The only thing I'm missing for common treasure items is gems. Some of the magic items that come in the Treasure and Magic Item set have tiny crystals attached as gems and that made me wonder where I might be able to aquire little crystals or colored glass (very small ones) small that could serve as gems to place along with my Dwarven Forge piles of coins, etc. Any suggestions?

Zoro,

Check out a Fabric or Craft Store... They have a lot of miscellaneous Hoo-has and doo-dads... Also if you live in a "Real City" you may have a "Bead" store... These are excellent resources for odd ball treasure looking stuff... and of course tiny fake gems...

Use those terms with caution. They're highly technical gaming jargon.
hee hee!

I'm ba-yackkk! Newly settled (for the next several months at any rate) in the new home state and happy to be back online! (MyLordVoid knows the story.)

If you have a Michael's Arts & Crafts near you, watch out for their 40% - 50% coupon in their mailer and you can pick up a bag for next to nothing.

Thanks for the suggestions. I do have a Michael's nearby, so I'll check that out first, and if they don't have what I'm looking for I'll look in a fabric store next.

Dante,

Welcome Back... And How did all that crazy Driveing back and forth work out? Glad to hear you folks are finally settled in... Got the Gameing room up to Par yet?

Zoro,

Good Luck... And Let us know how it turns out! (Send Pics...<Grin>...), Also something I thought about after the last post was that if you want a Kewl "Pile" of treasure you could pick up some Modeling Clay or similar and "Stick" bits of the Gems, Swords, Skulls etc.. to the outside of your clay, and Paint them to your pref... That way you can have a pile of what ever size you like without having to actually Glue each Gem into a Pile... Which Is Tedious... Have Fun!

Hi MyLordVoid,

Well, we're slowly getting settled into the in-laws place for the winter while we build up some work history in the new state. We'll be looking at buying our house in the spring. So... for now, I have no game room. Dunh dunh DUNH! ::sound of horror show music:: Yep, no game room. I'm going to be hooking up with a couple of the local gaming stores to run/participate in games so I'll let you know how it all goes.

Dante,

Hope you get along well with the In-Laws, Mine are Pretty Darn Kewl, (In their own peculiar Conservative Democratic Southern ways), But I am Not Sure I Could Live with them...<Smirk>... As a Teen I used to Run Games in a FLGS, which was Kewl at the Time because I Lived in the Boonies and it was MUCH easier to get Players together in town... These Days it would be harder cause I just have too much Kewl Gear to drag along, and If I don't bring it my Players would get tired of Hearing me Bitch about forgetting that one Crucial Fig, Building, Trap etc...<Chuckle>... (I know... I Know... Planning is Everything... But I Like to Change stuff up on the Fly if the Mood takes me or My Muse Flicks my Earlobe of Summoning...<Grin>...) In any event At least You will have BIG game tables to Monkey with... (Hopefully)... So By all means keep us posted...
