to find small elements of decorations to fill the rooms of the underground is a national sport, isn't it?

It is one of my favorite hobby

the interrest is being to be able to vary the types of rooms to the maximum

I like to make alot of things myself too. I scored last week unexpectadley. A couple years ago I bought my daughter a Disney castle. It had alot of furniture that is very close to 25mm scale. She never plays with it anymore and half the pieces were scattered throughout the room. I swiped quite a few, and repainted them. They look pretty good and didn't cost me a dime.

My wife and I are constantly on the lookout for something that will work with Master Maze. Craft shops have a large assortment of miniature barrels and tables.

I was just at a miniatures collectors convention in Valley Forge last week and picked up some pretty useful pieces. 98% of the show was war miniatures, but I found a couple of great fantasy pieces to complement the DF. 2 huge fountains that could be dropped in a town square or underground complex, some walls with windows that are taller than DF but will work very well, and some railings (maybe to accent an altar area). All of those were resin cast pieces. Also picked up som metal pieces - 4 tables, 2 thrones, 2 large standards hanging from frames, and some vegetation. Rounded it out with some wooden casks, and some miniature rugs for a throne room. All in all, not a bad score. Everything will need a good paint job to match the DF colors, but I've done it before and its not too difficult to find the right shades of stone.

A few other places I've used to find accessories for Master Maze:

1. Pegasus Hobbies (www.pegasushobbies.com) has a few neat items. I got a fountain from them, it comes in two parts, the top part fits in really well in most rooms. The two together fit in a LARGE room. They have a few other items that work, too.

2. Ray Harryhausen resin pieces. These are everywhere lately, Tower Records used to carry them, if you pick up a toy magazine (like Action Figure Digest or Lee's Toy Review) they usually have ads for them. They make great statues.

3. Check out the terrain available at www.discounthobby.com. I picked up a ton of stuff from them -- bookshelves, tables, prison and torture accessories, tons of stuff. Good prices, great service.

Finally, this goes back to an older topic, there's always Hirst Arts Castlemolds. You have to cast and paint and glue, but you can make tons of stuff. If you just want accessories for DF, I recommend the Wooden Plank Mold. It's $30, and with it you can make wooden stairs, bookshelves, tables, doors, anything made of wood, really (other than barrels!) I mean, you're just casting straight planks of wood. Put them together however you want!

(you could, of course, do the same thing with balsa wood, but working with it in this scale can be difficult)

Those are beautiful Tom.

Here is a link to a site that caters to minature scenes for holidays. But if you dig through the producs you'll find some great barrels, crates, docks, small row boats, trees and fences of many types.

Sorry I hadn't responded in a while Tom, but sure I can click a few shots of them. It might take me a few days though. I misplaced the cord that hooks my digital camera up to my computer. I will try to pick one up this weekend.

Hey Daggerdale, where can you find prices for the products on that site? Have you ever bought any of them? What is the scale? Your right there are a few nice things I could see myself buying.

I looked around that site and I couldn't find any online ordering. They do have an enquiry page so I would recommend that. The scale of the fences, barrels, docks, and boats is just right for DF gaming. I have found most of these at hobby stores, esp. the trees. Michael's hobby stores carry them.
