My original tileset from colinburns.com works in dundjinni out of the box. www.dundjinni.com

The first post in this thread references a windows-only tile program that my stuff and lonewolf's pix have been made to run in.

pfworks -

THANX! I went there, got the program, and grabbed all the tilesets from your page (AND read the EULA, sir!).

Once I finish the Temple of Trek DVD, I can go back and unZIP/Install everything, and start learning how to use it. Sometime after Mid-June.

See ya!

I don't have my text file handy, but I thought yet another individual was responsible for the tileset software itself. One of the threads posted lead to a web site forum where that individual was answering questions about the software.
Thanks to Proving Ground Productions for the initial tilesets.

It looks like somebody who played FoF Doom made the Windows program to deal with png tiles. It looks pretty cool, but since it's made with MFC, as I said before, I can't try it out on my Mac (at least not until I get my new Intel-based mac and use Parallels)

Hello everyone,

I finished the first version of a Fantasy photo set for the Tile System (some tiles could need some futher processing and adjustments but overall they are already quite good).

And now the most interesting part:

I also prepared a website where everything can be downloaded from:

www.muinimula.de/Muini/de/2nd/tools/mastermaze/Mastermaze.html

Beside the Fantasy photo set you also find appropriate 'compilations' of the drawings from Proving Ground Productions for the Tile System (Fantasy, DoE & Cavern).
Everything comes with corresponding tile set definition files. Furthermore there are some tile set files that combine all three series or that create the 'flip between drawings and photos' sets.

If you don't want to download all the separate zips and put them together you can just choose the 'Ultimate' file.

In both cases you might also need the MFC libraries, if they are not yet on your system.

The next photo set will be the DoE (since I already took the shots yesterday), presumable available during the next week or at the next weekend.

And now have Fun and create maps that no one has thought of before! :)

Where do you want the check sent? ;) That is, I'd be happy to chip in some (not a lot! I'm Broke!) money for all your hard work. Paypal is my friend. Okay, so perhaps DF boards shouldn't be used for profit. How about donations? Probably not solicitations. Which means, off-board e-mails. Okay. How about posting an e-mail address for contact? Just a suggestion.

That goes for CRasterImage and PGP as well.

Thank YOU for posting that page in English. For us uni-language, English-only Americans, it's a blessing. It would also be nice if our educational systems supported teaching multiple languages at an early age.

Oh man I've been testing the software... I have no words... hey what a piece of art!!! and the photos... oh, my friend... they are AWESOME!!! 8-O It really seems I'm looking at a setup from above!!! this is going to be one of the bests improvements that could be done to the DF world... (don't counting, obviously, the new expansions from Stefan ;-) )

I thank you all very very much CRasterImage, Lonestarr, PFWorks... Bravo!!!!!!!!

Hey, one more thing: Do you plan to take photos of the doors and porticullis? Perhaps of the 5 tons falling blocks?

It would be great having the pillars and pedestals, or even the stalagmites, but I think the doors are badly needed...

Greetings!

Hi arsthein,

They are allready there :D : Look in the 'Object Tiles' section of the left tile bar (select box in the lower left corner).
I put them there, so that they are always drawn on top of the map tiles (all those groups there are drawn on top of each other).
Maybe I should add a little comment about that on the download page.

By the way: The current downloads now also feature the DoE (www.muinimula.de/Muini/de/2nd/tools/mastermaze/Mastermaze.html).

Yeps!!! I downloaded it yesterday and I'm using it, but I forgot absolutely the the combo box options with the object tiles and the other cathegories... mea culpa!!! ^___^

Congratulations again colega!!! I've created a couple of maps with photos... I see them with ACDSee and zoom near... amazing!!! it seems the pieces ARE real!!!

Hey! here's some idea for program function for CRasterImage: hey, what do you think about this: If I double-click in one piece, could it spin in the other direction (clockwise)? that way, the max number of clicks needed over a piece would be 2, if you want to spin it twice in the normal direction (do you call it "clockunwise"? sorry I can't find the word...). For now you have some times to right-click it 3 times... and this could be avoided... just an idea... do you think it would be good for the next version?

And what about the combo box with the options? could it be cathegories for the different lines of DF instead for doom? perhaps options for Cavern, Cavern-Lake, Cavern-River, Den of Evil, Fantasy... it would be sooooooo cool!!!

Only giving ideas... man, I'm completely hooked with this software arghh!!! I can play with my toys here at work!! ;-)

Hi arsthein

I also clicked around a little with the current sets yesterday and very soon created a large map, that would be possible with my tiles, but unfortunately not with the size of our gaming table :D.
I could not yet finish that map, because I also want to use the caverns (not photos yet) and the lake and river (not available yet) for the rest of the map.
When those tiles arrive and have been photographed the resulting map will be a real cool dungeon showing the Fantasy, DoE and Caverns in a huge sample setup. I think I'll post that map here too then.

I think the word you are looking for is 'counter-clockwise' or 'anti-clockwise'

I can also second your request for a more flexible grouping. Despite it's no urgently needed feature, it would be helpful to separate the lines a little in the tile selection section and keeps the scroll lists a little shorter. The best thing would be if the groups were free definable and configurable, so that one could freely name them and configure where in the drawing order (0,1,2,3,4) a group should be. So there could be e.g. three groups for Fantasy, Doe, Cavern all in draw order 0 to be drawn first and a fourth one for the accesories (currently there are not so many so they could be in a single group) drawn on level 1. We could than use further groups and levels e.g. for magic items and furniture, which in fact can be done now already.

LoneStarr,

Just nosey; any plans for the Sci-Fi tiles to be photographed? I only ask because I'm not seeing any mntion of them here, and I use them frequently. In fact, the big deal game ReBob and I are building for next year's Shore Leave will use Sci-Fi, caverns, Fantasy, and possibly DoE (I'm not sure yet about that one), all in multiple levels beneath a Medieval village!
A printed map of what tiles we use, and what sets they came from, WILL be VERY HELPFUL!

See ya!
