Here is a zip file of dundjinni compatable tiles. Sci-Fi and Den of Evil sets to follow shortly.

Also to follow will be a smaller set of tiles. These can be useful for larger setups because of Dundjinni's page size limitation.

PFWorks,

Nicely Done... It is Working Now... Great Job on the Caverns, Specials and Traps in Particular... Those are the Toughest because of the Odd Shapes...

Even FOlks Who do Not Use DF would be able to Use these in any Paint Program to Create Layouts...

Kudos!

I actually placed the odd-shaped pieces on my flatbed scanner and used Illustrator to trace them out. The cavernous passages were the hardest, given that they have non-standard size.

I am going to try out this mapper.
I have several friends in the gaming industry that love ProFantasy's Campaign Cartographer.
They convinced me to buy it along with several of its expansion pieces; I found Campaign Cartographer to be less than useless for someone who does not want to spend hours on end trying understand the software.
I am hoping that dundjinni will be truly more user friendly.

RabidFox,

CC is a Good Campaign Scale Mapper, but VERY high Learning Curve... Dundjinni on the Other Hand is Quite Intuitive, and the Amount of User Support is amazing... I Highly Reccomend it for Folks who like 2D Terrain Tiles...

BUT, it is Pricey if You Want all of the Add ons... The Basic Dundjinni is Really Sufficient however for many basic Designs...

I also find Dunjinni alot less printer friendly then CC. Full colour maps = sexy on the monitor, but then you realize the price of Ink...

I have used both alot. If you are a CAD expert, then CC is for you. I used it enough to get semi-proficient, but I still don't have the knack for making things look good. In a nutshell, the advantages/disadvantages:

CC advantages

It's a real CAD program! It does not depend on bitmaps so scaling works really well. They have a lot of nice tools for drawing landscapes and whatnot.
The other CC programs understand the internal layout, so things like Perspectives and stuff "just work"
No wonky licensing restrictions from ProFantasy. You make something, you do something with it (assuming you're not
stealing somebody's art work)

Dundjinni advantages

cost: it's pretty cheap
It takes about 30 minutes to become proficient enough to make decent looking stuff
It's trivial to make artwork to import
large user community
Java (runs on Mac as well)

CC disadvantages

cost
Hard to use. Unless you have a CAD mindset, things will be unintuitive and cumbersome.

Dundjinni disadvantages:

Licensing
Java

Bottom line: for mini play, dundjinni is the way to go. For campaign/module type maps, it's hard to beat CC. That's why I have them both.

These look pretty nice, i have been playing with the programs trial version, and while more straight forward than CC2, it is a bit of an ivestment espically for things i'm most likely not going to use much if ever, the Stat packs will never get used in my SW game (Token Pack: Reaper Characters, Token Pack: Reaper Monsters, Stat Pack: SRD 3.0, Stat Pack: SRD 3.5, Stat Pack: Monsternomicon, Stat Pack: Book of Fiends, Stat Pack: Denizen's of Avadnu, Stat Pack: Monte Cook’s Arcana Unearthed, Stat Pack: Eldritch Might series), and i would be interested in the $15 modern... so not sure if i will buy it or not.

The Stat Packs are Really there for Folks Who Want to Write Full D&D 3.5 Modules... This maybe one of the Most Interesting Aspects to Dundjinni Really... (And Also why the EULA is so Bloody Strict)...

The Best Part about that is that the Stat Packs, Tokens Etc... Are Add ons, so You Do Not "Have" to buy them to Use the Mapping Software...

Also the Modern Add on is Really Pretty Nice.

I Have the Modern, Castle, Temple and the Skeleton Key Dungeon Add ons, as well as a lot of the Free User Stuff... It is More than I Need Really, but I Have Quite a lot of Options...

I Can Make Map Layouts that are upto 4 Pages by 4 Pages of 1" Grid, Which is Enough for a Small Village, a lot of Interconnecting Woodland Pathes etc...

Campaign Sized maps ARE a lot more Clunky However...

I Even Made a Pretty Kewl SW Ship for Minis, Using All 16 Pages, It's Pretty Darn BIG! As well as a Bunch of "Counters" for SW Space Battles by Reducing the Scale of some Kewl User Art SW Ships...
