Find the Necronomicon ex mortis... 4 Years, 5 Months ago
I think I saw the first Dwarven Forge Set in 1997 in a fantasy-store. The salesclerk advised me against buying it. He pointed out that several sets are needed for actual playing and that the price for some of them would get quite expensive. However I bought my first room set before the introduction of the Euro for 990 Austrian Shilling and I never regretted it!

Stefan, I would like to thank you for your revolutionary visions and dungeon-models!

The name Pokorny derives from here, are your ancestors from Austria or the Czech Republic?

Please additionally find pictures of the library I just completed added below. The shelves were produced by Thomarillion

Fantastic stuff, really great pictures too.

I really like the look of Thomarillion stuff, I'm not sure if I can afford it, especially getting it to the US. But I've been wanting a library like this since I first saw DF. Stefan -- please give us a library!!!

Incidentally, I had similar experiences with DF -- saw it first in 2001 or so, and the store that had it on display barely had any for actual sale. Eventually they stopped carrying it as a default, and it was a pain to special order for another few years before DF finally just went direct-only.

Thomarillion stuff is really not that expensive. I spent around $250 on an order a year ago and I probably will never need any more. I still haven't painted it all unfortunately. I don't remember shipping being unreasonable. I just wish my paint jobs looked nearly as good as yours herald. Very very nice!

Simply gorgeous set-up! Bravo!!!!

Q - Is the double door leading into the library Thormallion as well? I've wanted their stuff for over a year now, but its of no use to me unpainted!

Thank you for your compliments and the positive feedback.

Yes, Rodenbach. I really like doors, especially different doors - therefore I also converted some doors for my Dwarven Forge sets.

This door is a Thomarillion model and the double door in the library as well. I simply combined 2 single doors by sticking them together.

Great setup!!! Truly form fitting design. Beautiful. I am planning on saving a pic and using the setup in the future (Once I purchase/paint the bookcases...)

Very nice! You have just inspired me to order the library set from Thomarillon!
I just hope I can do as good a paint job on it as you have done.

Awesome library! and your painting skills shine too!!!

I find thomarillion scenery very beautiful, but I have not much time nor skills to paint so I'll hire a person much better suited than me for the task, some bits from some time to another. Hope to have some libraries soon! :-)
