The Tower of Saint Arestus

Once the abode of evil, the paladin-saint Arestus called the Sword of the Sun, cleansed this thrice damned place centuries ago. Arestus used the seven story tower as his base of operations for his many campaigns against the forces of darkness all along the borderlands. Finally, when the end came for this holy warrior, it became his tomb. It was to be no ordinary crypt. Instead, Saint Arestus had the tomb trapped and guarded -- using resources garnered from a lifetime of adventuring. "My tomb shall remained sealed," he whispered on his deathbed, "until my worthy successor comes..." Thus he spake and thus it was done. Now, the tower sits alone on the borderland plains, crumbling and in disrepair, but still full of secrets. Many have risked the tomb over the years. Precious few ever emerged alive. And no one has succeeded in finding the paladin's crypt. The tower's eternal beacon still glows at night. Are the rumors true -- was Arestus buried with his Holy Avenger? And what dark hour now arises that requires the daring and the desperate to once more brave Arestus' test?

Very nice! I agree, ending the spiral stairs at the demon mouth is a great idea. I've been wondering for YEARS how to use the spiral stairs in such a way that they actually WORK as stairs -- since the top of the stairs circle around, any surface they lead to would have to block the place they just came from (hard to describe, but presumably anyone who's done it knows what I'm talking about)

Anyhoo, really impressively done. I really like the symmetry of it, too.

Here is my entry:
I didn't find how to upload the images here, so I used a remote server. If for some reason the images don't load, just try a little later.

I tried to use pieces in a creative way. I took me 2 hours from start to finish

Have fun!

The Advanced Builder set was an instant hit for me. I grabbed four sets as soon as it came out. You can bet I'll be entering this contest!

Finally a contest I can enter! I own (1) of each of these sets.

Can we use DF accesories and miniatures?
