I just want to say something on the preorder system that sometimes pops up.

In my opinion a way that would work, is the way it goes with many projects in backerkit.

You get a link to a backerkit management page, you pick extras, you see shipping, you see the total.

Then you enter your credit card data.

You are NOT billed at once. Rather, you are informed that your card will be billed when the creator will decide to close it up and collect the funds.

So, wouldn’t something like this work for DF?
You put up a system like that with, let’s say, a Count Castle pledge.
People have one or two months to pick it if they want it.
At the end of that period, if the numbers look good, cards are billed, and production starts.
If numbers are not enough, you cancel the offer without billing.
Next month, new offer!

Or something like that...

The reality is i have a bunch of KS1 and KS V sucked me in with sheer awesomeness... i suspect i will be seduced and end up over pledging
Lol - we said that this time last year!

We were pretty smug with our 'don't need a dungeon, don't want a dungeon, ain't gonna buy a dungeon' attitude.

And Guess what?

We went and bought a dungeon!

No we bought a couple of temples and a lava pit, not a dungeon, we did get a moat, but in no way did we sink DoD's worth of cash into a dungeon.

Aww heck of course we did! and we are probably going to buy a cavern and most likey a big watery/lavary cavern.

With ten sets from KS2 plus all of the add-ons I do not need more of the exact same sculpts but what I do want is new sculpts that sort of do the same thing but are not exactly the same for variety, new sculpts that allow more non straight or ninety degree turns, new sculpts that get me out of the 2x2 grid and back into it, new chasm pieces, and many other things.

I really like my KS2 caverns but I want more variety, when you do a huge cavern build it is easy to see the repetitiveness in wall shape and corner shape, heck when you do a big open cavern even the floor can be repetitive.

Dungeons are better with variety Caverns demand it.
Banzai! Biggest problem with caverns is too-regular walls. Lots of different shapes along the walls, and esp the chance to have varying wiggles to break the wall line (ie move a now-straing cavern wall and make it a wall which moves 1-3 squares toward center, then back out, and in again - wash rinse repeat

Me too but :!:
I need lots of 2 by 2 corners because I use them for board games too.
I am also excited about some of the passage tiles I have seen.

I decided to make some risers for my resin passage sets. I am hoping for some interesting elevation tiles.I may even fill the bow ties

Things I will get:
1. Cavern elevation box (3)
2. A small set that contains the new walls and corners
3. More negative space pieces
4. Elevated walkways
5. Pieces that get out of the 2x2 grid
6. 4x4 open water

What I personally don't need (I am not saying they should not make this stuff):
LEDs
Magnet walls/decor
Any specific theme pieces
Mines
I would like blasted rock face tiles for mines. I prefer themed tiles

The point about not making stuff is well made. :!:
