While I was looking at this pic I came up with a cool/cruel idea for DF to release more teaser pics but still not show too much.

If they take a photo of a piece and then cut the pic up electronically into say twelve pieces and randomly post one of seven pics each day for a week. We will get the fun/exasperation of trying to figure out what it is. At the end of the week we still won't have a full picture, but we will have a good guess at what it looks like.
Good idea
How about starting this Monday?

We are in need of more awesomeness to gab about.

Very excited. After spending much more than i planned on KSV, my first foray into DF i am very excited to see caverns getting a re-visit. My second favorite setting would be caverns after dungeons so i feel a bit spoiled for choice.

A couple of thoughts (may have been mentioned in the previous 18 pages).
* Some type of purpose built connecting sets/pieces between caverns and dungeons.
* ground clutter such as tracks, mine carts and other add-ons.
* love the idea of ruins.
* surface connections such as cave mouths, cave ins, tunnel entrances etc.

These probably will all be covered im sure.

(have been talking to the boss about the new DFKS and getting her ready for the outlay of $ - her reply was "where is the stuff you already bought??" Its a start at least :) )
Pray for Mojo..

I think magnetic cavern walls are a given, but I hope they work well with rougher cavern surfaces. Thus far magnetic walls are very even.

I would put many down on crystal's with LED's in them That seems like a no-brainer to me. I forgot to mention that.

What has me the most curious is how magnets will be used. Clearly to snap to the terrain trays but in what other fashion? The traditional use is to stick stuff to walls but I can't really see that happening with cavern walls. Maybe to build rock formations? There's a lot of potential in that sort of thing. Again, just a guess.
Magnets to hold up the webs or other hazards?

Walls and floor with holes in them (like something small burrowed through them or something large broke through them).

Perhaps also some spacer cubes cut in half diagonally in a curved manner so that 4 of them in a square form a large hole. There's always some sort of flying beast that is seen flying up out of or down into these holes and they always lead to another level of the dungeon so they are too tempting for adventures to pass up exploring them.

I think some wall versions that are already covered with the webs would be cool. Perhaps even walls of webs... and floors.

And more webs and rope bridges (whole and a collapsed one with just two ends). Same goes for rock arch bridges that can sit over lava/water/chasms.

The campaign will be an Encounter-based set-up similar to KS5.
Please have wall/passage/floor sets like you did for KS5 for those that want to create their own encounter set-ups and not have out-of-the-box encounter templates.
