I would love to see:

1) Townsfolk - various races and, please, please, please make female townsfolk who are NOT barmaids or prostitutes - please and thank you! :D
2) Seated figures - again, various races
3) Valorians
4) Dead adventurers
5) Mounted figures
6) Bad ass monsters
7) Humanoid monsters
8) Adventurers

I'm eager for this Kickstarter to begin!

Oldent, your collection is awesome, thanks for sharing. Painted metal minis on resin DF is so much more classic D&D. I have thousands of pre-painted plastic minis and metric tons of dwarvenite, but I think I'd trade it all in for 10% the quantity of painted metal minis and 10% resin DF tiles.
Send me a PM. ;)

The key here with the DF minis KS though is that there is a PRE-PAINTED option. So, while there might be a lot of NPC/Villager/Sleeping/Dead etc options in the wide world of minis, how many of them come pre-painted?

There are literally HUNDREDS of pre-painted adventurers and bad-ass single monsters and I already own multiples of most of them. For us non-painters, we NEED lots more villager, sleeping, seated, dead, aristocrat, merchant etc and of lots of different races :)
I have not lobbied against pre painted figures. Considering the cost of stainless steel molds I believe the chances of finding or having them produced is better for unpainted metal.

Most of the orc villagers in my collection date back to the early 90's There is very little chance you will ever see them produced in plastic or PVC. Most of Bobby Jackson's villagers are available from bones. I have most of them in metal. You have to sell a lot of figures to make plastic pre painted figures cost effective.

Image

My sleeping giant, dead giant and Zealot dead characters are not painted yet The dead hobbits are new. I seem to have lost my dead Grenadier wizard. Probably in the wrong box.

My Rebel Miniature goblin adventurers are not painted yet but here are some of the orc villagers.

I need to dust

I have been collecting a long time. If you have the miniatures you will use them. I am working on a dwarf and hobbit bar. There are already a lot of good NPC characters available.

Tell us a bit more about the special DF personalities. I would very much like Stepen and his dog :!:

I have to echo that dead/laying minis are hard to come by and I would use them more than seated minis, though they would also see use. Adventurer minis are a dime a dozen, so I wouldn't waste DF talent on those.

I like the half monster idea also.

That could be the theme of this KS, half creatures. Would be good to attract interest.

Hi there! First of all, I'd like to agree with those who have stated that the overall interest I find in a Dwarven Forged Miniatures Kickstarter is having prepainted things that you cannot get anywere.

So, I went for Townsfolk/Villagers, but actually I'm interested in various NPC minis types, not just peasants and the lot.

I would very much support Valoria personalities, but without knowing what this name entails, I consider townsfolk like a much safer bet for getting npc's that I want (Villagers and Townsfolk among them).

To be specific, besides townsfolk I would be interested as well in noble people, shop clerks (misterious ones for potions, magic stores, etc, regular ones for weapon and armor shops, etc), and the idea of having prisoners and sacrifices to be rescued by the PC's sounds awesome. Evil priests and cultist (which I think is what you can see in the bean pic) interest me as well. AND Very very interested too in dead/unconcious heroes too, which would be my second option.

For me is very important to have the minis in painted dwarvenite. So far, the painting quality is great and the stuff is perfect for minis, but I can't say I'm not interested at all in metal or unpainted dwarvenite. The type of minis I have in mind for noble people could be great to simulate metal statues, AND (please take notice of this): if unpainted dwarvenite is provided in a greyish or brownish rocky colour, you could use npc's in general as statues or petrified victims!!! this would be a HUUUUUGE bonus. Got to love your statues, paranoia and art in the same canvas.

Regarding the seated/non seated issue... I'm kind of interested in seated figures, but as it's been said, I can use my imagination just for that and imagine them seated, so I don't really need them and don't consider them a priority but I can't say I won't grab them. The thing about minis with pegs to make them sit, and/or different heads, accesories, etc, I think that if done well (like AT-43 as it has been stated) could be awesome, but perhaps makes the KS production much more complicated.

The way I see it, several coloring patrons for humanoid NPC minis in general is a must have of course.

I agree too that the tribal minis that DF produces are awesome, and in that spirit I would like to propose a zombie mob like there's none painted. Most prepainted zombie minis are kind of bad, simple and/or repetitive. I would like a zombie mob pack in the vein of the lizzardfolk, orc and kobold tribes (or the skeletons). Just different civilians, male and female, fat and slim, half-zombies crawling, etc. Otherworld Miniatures produce what I would say is the perfect stuff... unpainted of course.

And lastly but not least: Talking about monsters (big or not so big), for many years I've had in mind something that still to date I find very underrepresented (unless you are willing to mess up a miniature of your own): Half monsters rising from water or burrowed holes: I'd love the head of a giant sea serpent, half otyugh attacking from the water, and even eyed-tentacles spying from underwater. Crocodiles, Sharks, you name it. I don't know how complicated would be to add a peg system so you could get the whole version of the monster out of the water, but that... oh, my... that would be cool beyond believe.

Greetings folks!
