Awesome. Unpainted order placed. We will see how they turn out. Thanks for the advice!

If you can drybrush you can make amazing streets easily. Their detail is great.

If i thought i would ever actually get them painted... i would buy unpainted

With my limited time i would much rather paint a mini, than slog through a hundred streets. The low premium for DF painted is the reason i decided to back KS1 way back when. I have never regretted buying painted as much as i think some stuff would be fun to paint.

If you have the time (and will actually do it) streets are just two tone dungeons ;) Your skill is probably more than enough (and if it isn't it will be by the time you are done!)

Anyone have any advice about buying streets painted vs. unpainted? My painting skill is begginer, I was able to paint some dungeon tiles that weren't too bad, but the streets look to be more difficult.
For me the streets were easier than the dungeon walls and ciity buildings. Do up a couple test pieces until you lke what you have. Then crank 'em out. Also, make notes on paints used (color, consistancy, order).

FWIW, I like doing streets around the perimeter and alleys for the interior/cross streets.
That's a nice idea. Gives the illusion that you're looking at a city block that is connected to other neighborhoods by larger streets. Or, at least that's what I assume you're intending and how I imagine it.
Yep, plus it gives us some elbow room around table edge, and lessens any LOS issues one gets with taller buildings along perimeter...
