But now apparently we have two dungeon grey colors. Is the DF base grey a good match for KSIV dungeon grey?

Once I have my stuff I will look.
There's three. Dungeon grey was the original KS1, 2 and 3 color.

KS4 has two different colors for battlements and crenelations (sort of a purplish grey) and the rest of the castle (a more neutral mid-tone grey).

Here's a good shot of what I mean:

I will have to give this a try. I have been using the Pokorny black. It works great, but this might be better. I like that Pokorny black is airbrush friendly. I worry this may be too thick and my not thin well. I have had that problem with some craft paints. I like this color though and the price so I might give it a try. I have not had any problem with paint staying tacky but have had with some brands of varnish.

I picked up a sample container of this colour the other day. It's a near-perfect match. :-)

It's well adhered. I tried to scratch some off and couldn't. Didn't wash the pieces first either.
ditto on scratch test.

the satin finish didn't seem
to be an issue with respect to "shine", which is good news given this will be used as a base coat.

Cool. Hope it adheres the same to Gorgonite as well.

Painted the back of four floors last night. No tackiness observed this morning.
Could you please try a scratch test to compare adhesion versus Pokorny paints?

That is awesome! Thank you for the test and the samples! I will be picking up some later this week.

Yeah, I don't think you could get any closer. Wow.
