Really excellent work, good job! The only reason I didn't pick these up is the certainty I couldn't get a result near as good as this. Really awesome work!

Nyee, your paint job looks stellar. I already have the Reaper Ice Shadow paint, so I'll be using your techniques on mine.

If mine turn out half as good as these I'll be delighted.

Just finished up my Ice Caverns last night. All in all I was pretty happy with how they turned out. The one thing I did notice when I was taking these pictures is it matters whats underneath the tiles. If you look at the first picture you will notice that the tiles that have the white paper under them look quite a bit different than the ones at the bottom of the photo where I had my green cutting mat underneath them. It's not quite as noticeable with the naked eye, but once I noticed it in my photos, I can see it now fairly easy when I look at the tiles.

Thanks for the quick reply...

Hmm, Interesting about the washes...i wonder what is up with that... maybe thinner dilution?

Haven't even got my stuff yet, but i look forward to finding the time to do this. Not sure i want to paint in every individual crack... but i do like the effect. I might just have to suck it up and do it... i only got two sets so it is not THAT many pieces.

Thanks for the encouraging words, everyone!

@kitenerd: I tried a blue wash on a test piece and found that washes don't do well on this translucent material--it ends up looking grimy and stands out too much. With the Realistic Water, I added in one drop of Reaper's "Twilight Blue" to about 20ml of Realistic Water. I used a thin round brush tip to dab in the RW into crevices. The problem with RW though is that it loses quite a bit of volume as it dries, so you have to build it up in multiple rounds. There may be other pourable resins that perform better, but I haven't experimented with enough of them to really know. The end result with RW does look good to me though; it just takes a bit of patience with the drying and re-applications. I'm thinking of doing something similar with water puddles in the normal caverns paint job.

Ridiculously gorgeous!

THis is what i hope to be able to do with mine... but i am not this good!

How did you apply the realistic water? I was thinking to do a blue wash of some type to darken the crevices a bit but i like the realistic water idea too. If it was not too complicated i might imitate your idea.

I like the Frosted White Scheme and have plans too do something very similar to one set of Ice Cavern Tiles. Good Stuff!
