I was playing around to see what I can make with my five sets and stretch goals and some add ons. It fills my table pretty well. A work in progress to be sure.

Here is another setup, using 5 x base cavern sets and 3 x water cavern packs:

It should fit in a 3\' x 4\' space.
I forgot to add an entrance, but you could have players fall through a hole into the spider cavern, or be swept down the underground river.

Here\'s a setup with 5 base sets + stretch goals, 1 lava cavern pack (I intend to paint it the same as the others), and 2 water cavern packs:

This is a little over 3\' x 5\'

Some Cavern Maps showing Layouts of 5 Sets with Stretch Goals to 45^ Passage Pieces at $1.1M. Link to other thread. With a few variations and another add-on set comparison.

Just starting out with the map maker and Dwarven Forge in general.

I made a simple Bandit Hideout for low level adventurers in my D&D game.

Actually needs more tiles than I originally thought.

I thought I would make the map from the Basic D&D Red Box group adventure.

Instead of fireplaces, I used the castle window tiles.

So, I, too, borrowed Philomorph's map, made a couple of minor changes to it, and built it out.

A couple of things I've noticed.
1) While it looks good on my table in normal light, flash photography of the painted vs. unpainted is jarring
2) There's a lot of really tight corridors in here - whomever is leading my party is going to get slaughtered. I think I'll put my son's annoying friend out front...

(Wouldn't let me upload the images directly; resolution was too high.)

I imagine you've tried this - but trying them vertically has worked for me before.

T1 Moathouse

My own take on the Moathouse-- the beginning of an all new campaign for me, starring brand new Game Tiles! I hope my players enjoy it.

I'm new to DF so I'm not bothering to raise the house level up on stairs-- more trouble than it would be worth for me. I also took some liberties with the number of castle windows and arrow slits, just to make it more interesting.

Building out this map caused me some minor frustration. I seem to need a freestanding wall that is a bit shorter than the large FS wall and a bit longer than the narrow FS wall. Grr...

Place a small pool or other teleportation tile in the center of that spiral and you'll definitely have a spiral to somewhere!

I will probably use this map though as a trap laden corridor to test a certain rogue's mettle...

EDIT: This was in response to the spiral map on the first page of the topic. I didn't realize I couldn't respond directly to a post.
