None of stone styles in KS1 through KS4 is really quarried stone. It looks like all field stones, especially with the high number of accent colours.
So Mythras has fields that grow stones!? that's a feth lot of fields

Where I grew up, our garden would sprout a different boulder each year.

Now where I live, fields mostly grow Solar Panels, how times change.

unclebilly and GOD thank you for your advice :)

I fully expect my attempt to match CBS colours to fail and give the houses a slightly different look anyway.
Whilst I agree they don't need to match exactly I do feel they need to be close enough to blend in, especially the stone, as all houses would have sourced the stone from the same quarry/mountain. The same for the roofs. The plaster however can be more varied.

I think we will be putting in an order for some Pokorny paints. Will have to dig out Stefans painting guides for CBS :)
They are totally worth it. The black acts as a pretty decent primer on resin too, at least in my experience.

Rabbit Burner, go for the Pokorny paints. I like them better than anything but Vallejo= and dthey are better than Vallejo for DwF products. CHeaper per square inch and designed for DwF.

Wonder how I missed this one. One thing I do hate when people do KS and have a video and all they show is the item completed and painted. I would prefer to see what I am going to get when I open the box. But back to what your asking . Myself I would not try to match DF CBS. I would paint the close in a way but make them look different. A bit of diversity is a good thing that way you don't end up with a cookie cutter looking town.

TableTop Basement - painting advice

Post by Rabbit Burner » Sat Nov 04, 2017 8:37 am

Had a quick nose around the forum posts and could not see one relevant to our issue.

So just taken delivery of this KS:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/16 ... ile_backed

I backed for three townhouses and a shed. They are in white/off-white resin and we are looking for advice on how to paint the stone, wood and plaster (including slate roofs) to match our DF pre-painted CBS:

https://shop.dwarvenforge.com/collectio ... 4540174211

We have no Pokorny paints but this will probably be the excuse we need to purchase some.

All and any help will be much appreciated :)
