K-BAR !! K-BAR !!
Thought that would get your attention, GODofwar. ;)

If my father wouldn't have traded Gramp's M1918 LF&C Trench Knife in the late 70's, that would have been in this picture. For a friggen Nikon Camera, ... dad was a crazy man at times!!! Although, I did have a unnatural love for that knife, maybe that's why he did it. :?

I use much shorter ones now - X-Acto and the like.

For those that are unaware - 8-)

Weasels are so predictable.
I earned my K-Bar...issued to me an 'lost' in outprocessing...

I'm familiar with the trench knife, but unfamiliar with shouting k-bar. Over my head. Don't get it.

This is a fun thread.

I always wished the past DF KSs had a map showing dots on the cities and towns across the world of the pledgers.

Eastern Oregon. Boise, Idaho is my backyard. It is high desert and we depend heavily on the reservoirs. This is Owyhee, one of our largest. Very good fishing.

7 Devils in Hells Canyons. Rough and beautiful country just to our north, that we also go and play in.

The infamous Snake River. Someone drowns in it every year. Usually a college kid, or a drunk fisherman. This river has an extremely belying current to it, and the under toe is very strong. IF you make it across you will be miles and miles downstream.

Although not a scenic pic, probably the most common that you would see out here. Very rural and agricultural. This place lives and dies on water. Funny how just about everyone here knows the water level of the various reservoirs, especially Owyhee, which is our largest.

Btw, I didn't take any of these shots. Just from google, about as common of sites as I can possibly field. This is what eastern Oregon looks like.

I'm good with the pictures. I was going to post some of my old backpacking shots, but thought I might be overdoing it too. Maybe I'll add some in the future after some others post more of their areas... They are of the North Cascades and Olympic National Park back in the 70's and 80's.

I live in a rural area called Ravensdale in Washington state. It is in the foothills of Mount Rainier. I love it as I am an outdoors kind of guy. All these pictures are close to my home (the only exception is Mt St Helens as it is 3 hours away but I just took the picture yesterday). We live on a little lake that you can see in some of the pictures. We have two dogs Lug (the big bullmastiff), and Repo a (long haired Dachshund). Sorry if I went a little overboard. :D
Wow, how long did it take to train your dogs to walk on two legs and ride bikes?

No offense, but your kids are kind of hairy. Granted, long hair, but I don't think you should have posted them without clothes.

Is that Portsmouth?
These pictures are from around Maine. In particular, the lighthouse is Portland, and the town on the river is Camden.
