The thing to remember with DF is what they produce is fit in the world of Mythras and so far its been fairly generic temperate environments.
Fair enough. We'll call them barbarians instead of vikings or celts. :)

There is a Kickstarter coming soon (I think a few of our DF forum members know have previously backed) which will be offering two "cultural" theme tiles:

Egyptian - this will be offered as .stl files to do your own 3-D printing. This is based off of their previous Kickstarter which offered resin tiles.

Mesoamerican - PVC tiles

lunesdargent workshop is the company name, in Canada. KS is not announced yet, but I will keep you posted.

I would be happy if DF did

Norse themed items
Greek themed items
Egyptian themed items
Indian subcontinent themed items
Native American themed items

but I expect at most we would see the top three and then likely not even that.
Would not mind seeing these,

Though down in the burrow we'd prefer to see a Celtic theme.

That is not to say you don't have a few lost continents ;)

There is another thread that discusses KSVI environments - which covers topics like re-use of the same piece for different environments. In this thread you have a couple of accent pieces can give you a Norse or Celtic theme which could be compatible with existing CBS.

Greek would be great as well. Especially with the marble features from this recent kickstarter, I could see this being a possible next direction. I'll be happy with whatever is next, but a guy can dream right :)

Not particularly. Something that gives you the general feel and look, but open enough for several uses. I myself probably had the longhouse and grand mead hall in mind.

I did not know the Dark Age Outpost had been so late, wasn't it supposed to ship early last year?
Glad I passed on it, but it was very tempting. Good luck to all who did, hope it's sooner than later. :?

There have been requests in the past for ships and I know DF had a resin barn basically done at some point but it was never released. I wonder if that (should it ever be released) would fit the bill huts and stuff?

There are also a few other companies that have what you are looking for, including a couple kickstarters. I'm in one that looks to be fulfilling in about 900 years. We'll see if I get my outpost before I die. I'm 35. :P

New Theme

Post by James Paladin of Valoria » Fri Oct 13, 2017 3:14 pm

Sorry if something like this has been posted already, but I was just thinking of possibilities and ideas for new sets. With the Castle, and City sets, I was thinking a Viking themed set. That way we could do small villages, encampments, outposts, or even barbarians attacking our castles and cities.

Just a thought, and request maybe. :) Curious what everyone else would think about something like that.
