The Engineering section piece is new; it hasn't been released yet, I don't think.

See ya!

Sci-Fi Furnishings

Post by Ghenghis Ska » Sun Jun 04, 2006 4:50 pm

I have picked up some of the JR Miniatures Sci-fi stuff, and was over the long past weekend painting some of it, it's not bad. I like the beds as beds, they aren't the bunk look of the Anisty.

I also picked up some of Tony Griffon's offereings, i got the + floor conversion, and the computer consule (on thursday right before i went out of town for the weekend, so haven't really had a chance to do much of anything with them yet. I knew about the Bacta Tanks (they are on the list for later and a few more spare dollars, but this is the first i have heard of the Engineering chamber).

RF* -

Tony Colasante (I think that's the right spelling!), former Armorcast guy, is selling stuff over on eBay under Tony Griffon.
I Just bought from him a set of tiles to fill in the floor in the inside corners of the Sci-Fi 4-way, Tee, and RH/LH turn corridors. I also got a set of Bacta Tanks (a la Empire Strikes Back), a Computer Console set that makes DF's look anemic (sorry, Stefan), and an Engineering piece that looks like the Dilithium Chambers from the TOS Enterprise Engineering section!
Of course, all this stuff is unpainted, but hey, what's a little work between friends? AND, this stuff was dirt cheap! Two corner sets, a bacta set, and a console set, was under $60, and (I'd have to check to be sure) I think under $50! Plus shipping, $3 for the 1st set, and $1 each set after that in a multi-pack shipment.
Well worth it.

See ya!

Sci-Fi Furnishings

Thank you Blackhawk1.
Some of those we have talked about here already.
I even posted pics of some of the GZG stuff painted up.
Do the last two pics of JR minis items ever come up for anyone?
They never have for me; they have not when I had cable broadband or now when I have DSL.

Does anyone else have any other Sci-Fi furnishings items they know of as well?
Keep adding to the list please.

Megamini's- some modern urban but can be converted or used as is (dont think pool tables will change much in the future). Look for urban decor on the left side, also the astronomy bits under dungeoun decor could possible go in a captains cabin/conference room/leaders area as decoration:

Chemical drums, cryo-tanks, variosu cargo pods/containers, dumpster bins (even bad guys need to throw out the trash) via GZG:

JR mini's- near the bottom: reactor cores, holographic station, bunks, lockers, tech panels, assorted stuff, additional rooms that sort of can link to DF terrain (its a bit off but in some places):

DLD: Tactical Insertion Pods, combat medic stabilization tube, some vehicle accesories that may be useable for dress up:

DLD TIP pod master at the bottom of here- can be used as an escape vehicle, transporter tube, etc:

Sci-Fi Furnishings

Does anyone out there know of good line of Sci-Fi furnishings that I may not have ran into?
I know these five well:
Grendel's six unpainted sets;
Ainsty's unpainted furnishings (30mm though instead of 1");
WorldWorks Games' downloads First Light, First Light Retrofit, Mars Station & Platform Command;
Ebbles Miniatures' downloads Tactical Objectives and Ambient Elements Collection;
Microtactix' downloads Mad Lab & Mad Lab 2, Dirt Cheep Starships.
I cannot think of any others at this time.
Any others?
Painted or paint yourself?
