I wholeheartedly concur... and that additional idea of lava falls, and the like is genius.

I would love to give it a shot in my home studio setting, just to see how the results may come out...

This was a beautiful waterfall in this thread. I do hope to see Dwarven Forge Cavern Waterfall elements in the future, and perhaps a cool set of lava "falls" for the hellscape expansions. Of course we would need lava rivers and lakes to ;). Hehe... Here's to wishful thinking guys.

To me, the white in-process picture looks like a nice frozen waterfall... definitely some uses for that, but the end result is awesome.

Crioux

Thanks for posting all the information - especially the failures as well. I know a lot of people give great advice and ask - couldn't you try this or that as well - but there are always two issues - cost of material and will it actually work. By sharing what does work - and what doesn't you help others to prevent the same mistakes.

Transparency seems quite an issue. I have some Valejo water and wasn't happy with it, as it seemed very milky for quite a while. Polyester Resin is quite cheap and crystal clear - but suffers the problem to be smelly and sticky - and it is only worthwhile when you want 'a lot' - we are talking some 1 kg minimum.

So keep on sharing. I'm contemplating some ideas on your roof system to make it more modular / easier to store. The issue is to have 'flat' roofs and to connect them savely. I will post in case it works (or doesn't). The idea is to imbed some Lego blocks to the roofs. This should allow to connect them either sideways to make roofs wider - or to connect both sites.
