Would likely be extremely stable with a few well-placed magnetized floor pieces and a terrain tray.

I am also very unsure of the new passage system. It looks like it could be great, but I'll have to see it in use first.

I think many of the wide passage pieces will be made obsolete with the new KS5 wall-tab passage system.
I disagree. The new passage system is more versatile, but takes much longer to set up and is much more prone to disruption if someone bumps it. (With the tabs, whole floors can be moved/shifted if the wall is bumped just right) If I just want an easy passage, I'll use my old passages. If I have something complex, I'll likely use the new ones.

It occurs to me you may not understand how they connect with normal dungeons? Here's a quick example just in case that's the case.

Yeah, they are all their own little grid. I sue those very passages to connect rooms (made with regular 2x2 KSI stuff) and if I had more I would make intricate passage sections between rooms made with regular 2x2 KSI stuff. But in KSI rooms, no, they do not play well together.

They're used to make true 10' wide straight passages. Just straight passages. If you want to make turns or junctions in your passages you'll need to get Passage Pack 3 and either 2 or 4. But 10 foot wide hallways is their only true purpose. Not sure what else you're trying to do with them?

Issue with Wide Passages

Post by minotaur05 » Wed Aug 09, 2017 4:03 pm

Hello everyone.

I got some of the Wide Passages (Dungeon Passage Pack #1) and have an issue using them with the other base set pieces of dwarvenforge. They're slightly wider than the normal walls and I don't see any other set pieces that work that well with them.

Got them last July (2016) as a birthday gift and haven't really used them at all for a year for this reason.

Am I doing something wrong? Are there other pieces I could use with them to make a solid dungeon wall line?
