The village comes with three minis... the rat, the man with a mug, and the dwarf weapon smith.

I am going to modify the 4x6 floor pieces!

I gotta say I'm pleasantly surprised at the pricing. There's very little markup from the KS on almost everything (except that Village/Hamlet pledge...something's definitely going on there.)

I will wait to see if KS4 offers City Builder or KS1/2 add-ons that I must have before expanding my CBS, but I'm really happy that they weren't marked up out of reach. I will feel very comfortable expanding my set over time if those prices remain stable. :D

Wow! I didn't think the store would have these so soon. I suppose that means most or all KS orders are shipped or at least allocated and boxed.
But I am happy, just got my streets!! 2x Stone Streets and 1x Town Square. I think that should do ok for an Empire pledge. I would have gone Imperial Streets but I need to conserve for KS4.

Based on the piece count and listed contents no.

While the Hamlet is not a bad deal (nothing from DF is when compared to the competition), it is a much better idea for a new, non-KS customer to instead buy Tudor and Stone Starter Packs and Tudor and Stone Roof Packs.

Hamlet = $265
6 Floors (2 types)
22 Regular Walls (4 types)
2 Walls with Doors
24 Posts
2 Roofs

Tudor Starter + Stone Starter + Tudor Roofs + Stone Roofs = $244
6 Floors (6 types)
20 Regular Walls (8 types)
8 Walls with Doors
24 Posts
2 Roofs
4 Half-Roofs
2 Gables
Chimneys, Assassin Perches, Magnetic signs, Ladders, Stairs, Open/Closed Shutters

Starters + Roofs is cheaper than a Hamlet and equal or better in every aspect.

I like the prices, I was dreading post-KS inflation. I do wish you could just buy floors, walls, doors, pillars, etc., individually. I was trying to fix my floor to wall imbalance and still end up with more walls. Of course I have plans for some of these. I am going to try my hands at some Hobbity conversions.

I guess what I'm saying is during the KS people kept saying it was more per inch and was almost in line with pound for pound resin prices. My guess now is because they had more expenses with more staff and molds due to the scope; as such the price during the KS had to reflect this. In the end I feel it's almost in line with the other Dwarvenite sets (MSRP) now.

I am pleased there wasn't more of a mark-up! :)

Contemplating my order now...
